Does Eddie Hearn see De La Hoya as a rival instead of as a DAZN partner?

Is that why he is pricing his fighters out of a Canelo fight?

I don't think so. Jacobs and Fielding both fought Canelo.

Eddie has options, he can just match them up with each other in the UK and make good money

Don't expect Plant to just take whatever either when he has a big Unification with David Benavidez

Maybe it is DAZN, Maybe DAZN is not covering cost for Canelo's opponents since he is not giving them Canelo vs GGG III...so with GBP having to cover the cost for his opponent yeah maybe it is significantly LESS

Because he knows his fighters are better off fight Charlo or each other than being washed up by Canelo

But they would be paid better to get washed by Canelo than to fight Charlo or each other.

As I said many months ago as many agreed, it comes down to branding and subs.

GBP can only deliver with their roster, regardless if Eddie has security with DAZN heads. That’s fine. Everyone wins. The clients under DAZN need each other. Should Ryan Garcia keep winning he’s going to bring more subs to DAZN. This is good for Matchroom too as they have Haney.

            It’s all a good rivalry.

However, make no mistake, GBP’s Canelo is a threat to Matchroom’s stable. It means Matchrooms cards with former champions having lost to Canelo brings less viewership or buys compared to what GBP would continue to deliver.

Why wasn’t Andrade approved for Undisputed? In 2019 Hearn lost one Amecian Champion in Danny Jacobs. If Andrade lost, it means Matchroom lost another Middleweight to GBP. Matchroom USA can’t function without Champions.

Everyone knows BJS loses to Caneo. Smith’s last performance would indicate that Canelo could quite possibly win by early stoppage. Why would Hearn want to forfeit a 168 WBO being the underdog or the WBA Super and Ring belt as underdogs?

Then you’ve got another GGG under Matchroom whom is just a filler proxy that makes DAZN and Hearn look good while Gennadiy freeloads off Canelo. GGG can’t fulfill his contract stipulations without Canelo.

People need to understand the concept of filler fights. It’s what Haymon does too.

It’s actually surreal. Canelo Álvarez is imho the boogeyman of the game.

Let’s be honest! All these fighters have to offer is a well preserved undefeated record. As soon as they lose that, they are done.

How is De La Hoya lowballing them if he is offering Smith 3 or 4 times his career-high purse?

Eddie can't make any of his fighters accept offers they don't want to accept.
