Devon's a hard-nose fighter and he's fought damn near everybody, and his last great performance was against Maidana in 2012.
As you mentioned, he hasn't been the same since the Bradley fight and truthfully...the writing was on the wall in the Kotelnik fight...it's almost as though Devon hit a wall.
It's crazy how he and Bradley's careers worked out, Bradley being the victor of both their fight and the better career between them.
I believe the fight was in detroit I think and it was marketed as the super fight of the century lol. Devon quit in like the 5th round with the infamous "owwwww it burnssssss" . The winner was supposed to fight the winner of maidana/khan but it never happend

He sounds like a dog barking with those noises he makes when he throws punches.
I remember when Emmanuel Steward was doing commentary and was really annoyed by it, saying it was unprofessional 😅

Alexander was really good but appears for all the world to be a shot fighter passed his prime. He would not be the first boxer to have burned out before his 30th birthday.
I don't see anything good coming from a comeback

What's crazy is that I completely forgot that Devon beat Maidana and Mathysse in back to back fights! I vaguely remember him outpointing El Chino but I have no recollection of his win over La Machina. He's definitely fought some huge names and has wins over some of them as well. Not always an exciting fighter but can't question his willingness to take on tough competition.

Lol maybe Redkach’s performance against Garcia may have inspired him to come back. If Redkach was able to hang on against an ‘elite’ fighter maybe Devon thinks he can too

Losing the way he did to Khan must have hurt. Difficult to bounce back into the hearts and minds of boxing fans after such a shutout. He says he doesn't want his career to end like this, well when you're on the slide it's a one way street.
