Wilder can start by fighting at least one top fighter in their prime. Taking on a retired junky in rehab only to find he could still box simply proved that Wilder can't box to save his life.

Klit put Wilder down so easily that their joint promoter refused to allow Deontay back in the ring with Klit. I'm not one to repeat things but some say Klit has his number and that Joshua emulates Klit's style to the point that Shelly doesn't want that fight at any price. Most experts claim KLit would stop Wilder today just as easily but I'm not so sure Klit can get back into fighting shape.

That said, Deontay needs to fight at least one real honest mandatory, at least one. Whyte has been ducked for two years. Why Wilder is soooo afraid of whyte I don't know, only Deontay can tell you that.

Wins over Fury and AJ are more significant than a win over Klit.

Fury, AJ, Usyk, Ruiz, Miller, Whyte, Kownacki

Beating these men would mean that he cleaned out the entire active top 10. How many heavyweights have done that? If he succeeds, he deserves a high honor in the history books.

That's what I said, two pages into the thread. I wonder to myself, why do they care if he thinks he is or wants to be the best ever. I've never cared what a fighter thought of himself. I just wanted to see him in the ring fighting, win lose or draw.

There was a boxer from Buffalo named "Baby" Joe Mesi. He retired undefeated and was on his way up when he retired. He was exciting to watch and KOed most of his opponents. But he never fought anyone good, therefor he isn't really an all time great nor a Hall Of Fame boxer. Wilder has had over 40 fights now and he has avoided or ducked ALL of the best boxers of the last 10 years. Fury was not 100% and Ortiz was 40 (50?) when they fought so Wilder has yet to fight one opponent that was good and in his prime. This has given his a false sense of superiority and basically a Superman complex which is fitting because that's the same thing that "Superman" Adonis Stevenson had before he was knocked into a coma. Just think, Wilder never faced AJ, Whyte, Parker, Pulev, Povetkin, either Klitschko brother, Haye in his prime and others. Wilder has fought only 4 guys in the top 25 RIGHT NOW...4... Fury and Ortiz were both caught juicing but Wilder fought them both because he figured they were winnable fights. Yet he will pull the steroids card on Povetkin, Whyte and anyone else who has a good chance of beating him hahaha. This has gone on for years now and I still cannot understand how his fans can praise him after knowing that he ducked 120 million and unification. There is still no excuse for that type of cowardice. Also, if this generation of heavyweights is so weak overall, then shouldn't Wilder have cleaned up the entire division by now? Instead, he hasn't fought most of the best out there. He's a bum beating fraud who should have lost on the scorecards to Fury.

Right I wish more people thought that way. He shouldn't be bashed because he wants to be the greatest of all time. That's some ignorant sh** for people to be mad about. Like you said they should just enjoy the fight.

Ajagba is too slow plus he nearly got blasted in his last outing the other guys are on your list are legit though lol

Highly doubt that. He's already lost to Fury once. Yes it was declared a draw. But three blind men or three guys being payed off doesn't help his situational claim

If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. But of course, you can't beat the best if you don't fight them.

It going to be hard to catch up with Ali's body of work.. if he only fighting twice a year.. and with todays competition.. he Will have to Fight, Fury, AJ, Miller, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz, Joyce, Dubois, Hunter, Martin, Povetkin, and Kownacki. Just for a decent resume before he retires in six.. But if he can fight 3 times a year. And some rising prospects come out the woodworks just before he hangs it up.. Maybe he can have a case! I'm all for it.. But if so he needs to pick up the pace.
The problem is from the 6 HOF’ers I named that Ali beat, 4 of them he beat twice. So technically Ali has 10 HOF wins. Who is Wilder going to fight to give him 10 HOF wins over the next 6 years, only fighting 2 times per year. I don’t see it.
