There were rumors that the only reason that Floyd worked with Oscar for so long was because he fronted Floyd some money to get rid of his IRS problems in exchange for co promotion of his fights for a certain amount of time.
Makes sense as Floyd was talking about being his own promoter but didn’t do it fully on his own until the Pac fight.
Those two hated each other, why would Floyd allow him to be involved and eat off Floyd’s name for so long unless some other deal was in place.

Mayweather worked with Golden boy because of Shaefer. He also co promoted the events. Once Shaefer left Mayweather stopped working with Golden boy so that makes sense. According to his team Oscar was never even involved in any aspect of business. Oscar didn't even attend the Canelo fight.That's easy to believe considering Oscar's drug issues.

Notice that PBC star fighters today never complained about pays. Assuming they are as good as they are, the pay raises at HBO or Showtime would still rise? Since PBC’s debut, how much noise had Swift Garcia made for himself vs when he beat Matthyse, Khan or Judah?

I’m sure part of Haymon’s plan was to consult racial injustice with marketing at Golden Boy. This is why PBC fighters would always mention, not insinuate, that black fighters weren’t treated right. That was all Haymon’s plan to persuade his clients that Oscar only cared about Mexicans. That’s rather practical to say in post when many of them left.

It’s rather a paradox. Everything was destined. Who knows where Canelo would be today had PBC or Al Haymayne not stuck it’s nose and stoled. With Wilder having progressed for example, Canelo’s marketing could’ve been reduced by 20% by 2016.

I have always said Haymon doesn't belong in this business. He prevented a lot of fights from happening. Fights that will forever remain fantasy fights. What's the point for fans following this sport if those fights they want to see don't get made?

The fact that you are jumping and trying to back the promoter over the boxer shows who you are aligned with. There is no debating with someone like yourself who is definitely for the promoter.
