I'm generally all for boxers earning great money but sometimes I wonder whether it goes to their heads.

I'm minded to think about the doctors in Wuhan right now who are trying to save thousands of lives, working 24 hours straight in diapers (nappies) so as to not waste time in the going to the toilet, exposing themselves to a much higher risk than championship boxers and earning a pittance. They all deserve medals, belts and millions of dollars and all our respect and thanks.

I have a little bit of an internal struggle with this one. Obviously, as others have mentioned, there are guys like Crawford which possess a more well rounded skill set, which we can say are "better boxers."

But, if we consider the intent and purpose of boxing to be knocking out your opponent, which I personally hold in higher regard than "out dancing" someone for 12 rounds, then Wilder does have a valid point. Nobody does that part better.

Even then you've gotta look at the quality of opponent. Fury, Ortiz and Stiverne are the only decent fighters he has fought in a long career.

Wilder ain't even slick. He relies on his huge power with little skill, and has terrible footwork. He fights more like a flat-footed heavy handed white boy than a brotha.
