Wilder is crazy. Crawford is far superior to him. Russell, who barely fights, is far superior to him. JRock, Harrison, Charlo Bros, Joe Smith Jr., Caleb Plant, Benavidez, Andrade, santa Cruz, spence, garcia, thurman, prograis, mikey garcia, teofilo lopez, tank, ryan garcia, shakur stevenson all better.
I am sure I am missing a few.

But you don't fight racism with racism.
You don't fight hatred with hatred.
I'm aware that black people are victims of bad things still in 2020 in the US but it's not giving Wilder a pass for bringing up the race card here.
+ he's fighting an Irish gipsy who is nowhere near related to what is happening to black people in the US.
Like I said, dumb as hell, but i don,'t see Wilder as a wise man when it doesn't come about knocking people out.
This a world championship megafight, Wilder seems to forgot that he is not only talking to america or afro america when he's on the mike.
Dude needs to open his mind a bit.

I'm minded to think about the doctors in Wuhan right now who are trying to save thousands of lives, working 24 hours straight in diapers (nappies) so as to not waste time in the going to the toilet, exposing themselves to a much higher risk than championship boxers and earning a pittance. They all deserve medals, belts and millions of dollars and all our respect and thanks.
Sometimes I wonder about the characters in this sport.

Both of your statements smack of fear of people of African origins supporting their own....something that seems to scare white people to death....I wonder why that is....
Klitschko never said I'm fighting for my (white) people or he would have bee burned (and rightfully) for saying something like that.
LDBC would scream "****".
But Wilder would get a pass? Why that? Because of history? I disagree, that's it.
Wilder is fighting for the world championship, and the world is watching him.
So that black-white stuff that is american will sound dumb and offending for guys like me (outside of the US).
Mexico and GB actually are countries.
I thought Wilder was fighting for the US, like it or not, the US offered him the means to become what he is today.
Wilder need to get his head out of his a;ss and alabama and see farther
no problem with him defending the right of his people or whatever, but he's just defending himself and offending others here.

Crawford is one of the contenders for the P4P crown. If Wilder implies he's better than Crawford, it makes no sense to say that he's "just" the best African American boxer.
Even if Wilder was asked whether he thinks he's the best African American boxer, the logical answer would have been "I think I am the best boxer period. I guess that makes me the best African American boxer too".
