I remember him very well. Many fighters I saw young and hungry during my youth are gone. Makes me feel really bad.

Retired champion Johnny Bumphus died Monday in his hometown of Tacoma, Washington. Bumphus was 59. According to multiple reports, the former WBA super lightweight champion went into cardiac arrest Friday at a hospital in Tacoma. RIP to an oldschool boxer Johnny "bumpcity" Bumpus....Solid fighter & crafty boxer however I do feel Lorenzo Garcia of Argentina was robbed of a world title in their fight back in 1984....None the less RIP Johnny
