How can anyone think Dillian Whyte is innocent.

    -He’s popped TWICE.

-D-Bol can leave your system within 4-6 hours so the whole “he passed other tests” excuse doesn’t wash.

-Contamination, really? What other UK athletes have ingested D-Bol via contamination? And if it genuinely was contaminated why not go the Yoel Romero route and sue for multimillion’s?

Sorry to bring this back up but I’m sick of seeing these imbeciles defending this immoral cheat.

Good to see that you are not like the hardcore base fan. Some you can't even have a discussion without being insulted after a few posts.

The UK's boxing history is ripe with nationalism and even smaller territorial pride issues. A man from Liverpool fighting a man from Manchester in Manchester usually loses because it was not illegal until 1820 for the crowd to beat up a boxer and prop on another as the winner. The ref would just call that **** and go home. Even after crowd interference was made technically illegal it wouldn't be widely enforced until the 1860s.

Inversely, in America pride overtaking fairplay comes in the form of racism rather than localization. Early American boxing fans were happy to adopt foreign fighters as their own on the grounds of kindred blood. A man like Peter Maher, an Irishman from the Isle, raised in Ireland, and only came to America as a grown ass man, was well loved and respected by Irish-Americans. So much so champions Corbett and Sullivan saw him as a living personification of their own heritage.

We all know how well black fighters went over with the racist white american eras.

Gangs would be formed along racial lines in the States while in the Kingdom gangs formed more by area and were happy to accept a diverse range of people from women to blacks to ***s.

Liverpool I mentioned because the Liverpool gang is probably the most notorious. Manchester was another lively crew but Liverpool would go to your own town, mess up the rival crowd, and mess up the fight so their local boy won. Manchester was more like if you try that here lads we'll ef you up and make sure our local boy wins, but, Manchester didn't go into foreign territory. Big dogs like London were too well populated and held too many high ups for such ****ery....in most eras.

In America we had racial gangs as I said before. Like John Old Smoke Morrissey's Dead Rabbits. The Dead Rabbits gang was a violent gang of Irish-Americans who used their guns to make sure Morrissey, leader of their gang, would win his fights. They traveled all around the United States fixing fights in favor of their man and while doing so they found it pleasurable to go head and fix fights for any Irish fighting any non-Irish. By fixing I do mean going to the non-Irish opponent and threatening to shoot him dead then attending the fight and brandishing their weapons for all to see. Not many would challenge them and even less would do so without the backing of a rival gang. Bill Poole and his gang had a go, Bill got shot and died. Unlike the Liverpool gang the Dead Rabbits didn't need you to be from their neck of the woods, they needed you to be Irish. Morrissey himself would became very famous for having become the HW champion and would pivot that into a senatorial career. Of which, the Dead Rabbits were there to threaten voters for not voting Irish.

My point is in 2020 **** has not changed one bit. America's still racist as ****. England's still nationalistic as ****, and, everyone still uses the same justifications as the characters they represent did in the 19th century.

They’re actually the casuals, the majority of those guys only watch Sky shows. That’s the main problem in regards to UK sports. Sky completely dominate the television market and further dominate the sports sector, so a lot of fans only consume sports via Sky and the fact that Matchroom have an exclusive deal with Sky makes this even worse.

This is what creates such delusional opinions, as the only boxing insight they get is from Hearn or paid shills like Adam Smith, Bellew, Nelson etc. Sky sports boxing is genuinely comparable to Soviet propaganda.

I would say it is not nationalism alone but the exploitation of nationalism. They make it seem almost sacrilegious to not route for the house fighter.
