My exact thoughts"wards next 4 fights"
lol...3 of those fights came after a nearly 2 year layoff...and two of them were tuneups for a 175 fight against a p4p killer....the 2nd tuneup against brand wasnt needed....but ward squeezed and extra paycheck out of hbo because of all the time off he took...he got hbo to pay him for a televised sparring session
ward basically told golovkin what he told bute...." i fought froch and kessler....then i fought a p4p rated chad dawson...youve been fighting nobodies....go beat someone worth a damn and then ill beat your arse".......bute got worked the first time out against someone good.....golovkin didnt fight someone good for another 3 years lol
ward will always be greater than golovkin....its just factComment

So then you could of had it 10-2 or all 12 GGG??? That was super nice of you to gift Canelo 4 roundsNah I scored them both 8-4...and I always split close rounds in basically any fight.
What I've said is that there is not one clear round, that I've seen, where Canelo outlanded GGG and also landed the best shot or shots of the round...that would make it a clear round...you do the math on that.
If someone can find a clear round for Canelo in those 2 fights please let me know and I will rewatch it again for the 20th time.
And I think Derevy fought GGG very well and was very unfortunate to not get a W on my card...I had it 6-6 originally and could see 7-5 either way...I think GGG did enough but SD definitely gave him his best fight of his career and it was a great fight.
Canelo should take notes...to legit beat GGG he needs to either hurt him...or be much more active so he doesn't take himself out of rounds and can win some clear rounds.Comment

I'm glad you brought up Bute and that situation actually...it reminded me of this article and situation."wards next 4 fights"

If anyone wants a good example of why I don't take Ward seriously at all with anything he says, this article/video/the Bute situation is a great example of it.
One minute mark in the video.
'I want to fight Bute after the Super Six - Bute should fight the Super Six winner.'
After Ward wins the Super Six/beats Abraham and Froch:
'Bute needs to fight someone before he fights me'
'Bute is facing Froch next? He's ducking me'
Lol I mean come on man...it's all so tiresome.
The funniest thing about Ward's comments about Bute fighting someone...are (similar with his comments about GGG really) that Bute had fought good (and in Bute's case very similar competition to Ward) at that point.
They both fought Bika and Miranda...Bute KOed Miranda btw...Bute had a few other decent names like Mendy Glen Johnson and Brinkley on there...Ward had Kessler and Allan Green...and then Abraham and Froch.
Ward's resume was better with those last 2 fights, but before that it was basically the same...and Ward only got those fights because he was in the super 6 and Bute wasn't!! lol
He never wanted to fight Bute because that fight would have had to happen in Canada for it to make any sense money-wise...and Ward wanted all of his fights in his own backyard.
Try and spin all that however you want Curt...but since you brought it up I thought I would put all that info out there...your facts are off about the Bute situation - I see now that you said Ward had faced Dawson before he told Bute he didn't want the fight...not accurate as well.Last edited by Boxing_1013; 02-01-2020, 02:23 PM.Comment

All I know is that style wise it wouldn’t bode well for Ward. Not back then and not while Ward was still active.Comment

Jacobs has a better beard and is physically stronger than Ward. Not saying Andre isn’t better than Jacobs, but he isn’t the sort of physical specimen that can hang with GGG for 12.
I see many instances in Wards career where things had to go juuuust right for him to stay undefeated. He could do his career over ten times fighting the same guys and I doubt he pulls it off. Good first kick at the can though. Hall of fame worthy, indeed.
Have yet to see you prove you know boxing btw. You simply existing here for longer than someone isn’t a sign of superior wisdom or intelligence. The fact you think it does shows how confused you must be on a daily basis.Comment
