Except that's not what's been said.

The closest that Eddie has come to saying anything close to that was that Demetrius Andrade could cross over to fight Jermall Charlo as long as Charlo's take on Showtime is more than Charlo's would've been on DAZN.

In what world does Hearn have any say over what Charlo earns for a fight on Showtime? lol.

You can't keep falling for the misdirection and the slight of hand.

The fight should be on the network that will pay more money to everyone involved. That's common sense.

It all comes down to one party willing to make the fight while the other party is ducking the fight.

Even Bob Arum said he is willing to make Shakur Stevenson vs Warrington with Eddie Hearn no problem, as long as the fight is on ESPN. Just like they negotiated for Lomachenko vs Campbell.

In this case it's clear that Charlo (well, Al Haymon actually, since Charlo obviously isn't his own boss) simply doesn't want that smoke with Andrade. Not even for a career high payday.

We don't know what Andrade was set to get paid on his deal, and that's the fighter that Eddie Hearn should be concerned with.

Eddie, trying to dictate Charlo's purse (with still no mention of the number on offer) was a ****** move.

Relying on Bob Arum's word is just as folly a proposition (lol at Stevenson going to the UK and ****ing up Arum's content deal with BT Sport).

Warrington keeps talking about coming to America. A Stevenson matchup would happen here in the States.

All I know is the Andrade side is actively pursuing a Charlo fight, whether on DAZN or Showtime.

The Charlo side wants nothing to do with it on any network.

As a fan I appreciate Andrade trying make a meaningful unification bout. And as a fan I'm disgusted that Charlo is swerving it.

You don't find it odd that Andrade is pushing for a unification with the one MW champ not affiliated with Hearn while ignoring the guys that share the same network and would bring him a bigger payday and far more notoriety?

What do I care, as long as we get a unification fight?

Both Charlo and Andrade are low reward opponents so the big fish will put them off as long as they can...but at least they can fight each other in the meantime.

The Andrade side is making every effort to make it happen by offering a career-high purse and being flexible about what network the fight can be on. But the Charlo side is completely avoiding it which I can't respect.

I think the optics show what is really going on.

Andrade talks about fighting Charlo more than GGG and Canelo, the 2 most lucrative opponents at MW under your umbrella. The 2 guys ranked at the top of the division. They all are on the same network. The fights with them are far easier to make. It doesn't make sense.

Andrade's promoter is using him as a pawn to deflect from the fact he is not making any of the best fights at MW. Make a huge issue about Charlo not taking the Andrade offer, meanwhile GGG and Andrade both fight subpar opposition rather than each other.

I guess the strategy works because Charlo is catching a ton of heat meanwhile GGG/Szemarta and Andrade/Keeler are happening and Canelo is still without an opponent.

PBC has had all the best welterweights forever yet they still haven't unified.

At the end of the day I just want to see good fights, Dunn. When one side is pushing for one and the other side runs away it pisses me off.

Huh? They just had Porter and Spence unify and then Spence got into a car accident.

I agree with you about seeing the best fights. I just find it odd that the best fights at MW are not happening when dazn has all the top MW's other than Charlo. I also find it weird that Andrade is pushing for a fight with the least regarded, least recognized MW champ that would bring the lowest purse, and isn't affiliated with dazn.
