Canelo did say he wanted to fight in Japan. This is the only fight that would make sense to take place in Japan. It's not the best fight not even a good fight but Canelo has 11 fights to fulfill. As long as Sept is against Charlo,Andrade Smith or Saunders I'm ok with this.

This is going to be a big event in Japan but its a ehhh fight. Its okay though because nobody else in 160-175 are fighting live dogs. They keep waiting on that Nelo pay day that might never come.Comment

Joe Gallagher is a liar. I spoke to Smith in December and he knew he was highly unlikely to get the Canelo fight.
Canelo choosing to fight Murata is actually a positive for Smith as it leaves Saunders available for a unification. Hearn MUST make that fight next.Comment

Smith is not past 35, is he? Canelo will cash him out when the time is right. For Canelo that is. To be fair, Canelo had tough fights (or with Kovalev, it was supposed to be) in a row and he wants something nice and easy with the same payday as for tough and hard. Besides, this stops any talks of GGG vs Murata, which were heard lately. Canelo knows what he's doing, except for Floyd and GGG, he never miscalculated his abilities.
And GGG in September will be 38,5. He will outpoint him convincingly this time, might even TKO him with a body shot.Comment
