Always look forward to the Mailbag. I appreciated Bread's thoughts regarding quitting, I am of the same opinion. Often times when a fighter has had the fight beat out of him he is labeled a quitter which I do not agree with.

I can't imagine the amount of negativity that came Bread's way after JRock's loss. People always come out of the woodwork when someone gets knocked down. I'm sure there will comments after my post that will be reveling in Bread and JRock's defeat. The internet can both be a great and nasty experience.

Thanks for another good Mailbag Bread.

Gvozdyk had a look in his eyes like he was thinking about bailing against Beterbiev.

One of the WORST quit jobs I’ve seen lately was Andre Dirrell vs. Jose Uzi. Him lying there while his brother is screaming stay down! He kept going up/down up/down. He acts like he was dying...

To me the more important question is bad vs good stoppages. When a fighter quits he quits. That doesn't change anything. If a fighter decided the fight is not worth fighting any longer, he is not likely to rally to win it. Fighters who think they stand a chance don't quit. So when a fighter quits, the only thing it does is rob the fans of a couple more rounds of the same thing. Not so with bad stoppages. They rob the fighter of a chance, but the price to pay for giving him that chance is accidentally letting the fighter be killed... where is the line there??

"People have sent me hate mail because of my feelings on this fight. But I know what I know" lol, this is why I hate goofy fan boy groupies. More often than not, their stance on boxing issues has more to do with race/nationalistic pride than common sense. Steele shouldn't have stopped that fight and Taylor deserved the win. These cornball Chavez "fans" arguing otherwise and sending hate mail know that if the situation was reversed and Chavez was the one who was ahead on the scorecards and had the win taken away from him with seconds left, they would've rioted in the arena and would be complaining about it to this day.

On the question of quitting. There's a big difference in how Spence vs. Brook ended, and Crawford vs. Khan.

Curtis Harper walking out of the ring after the opening bell of Round 1. Classic!

very different. There are tons of fighters who have continued fighting after low blows. Can't think of many who have had their face broken in back to back fights.
