He should have fired his personal chef, some taco food truck owner before he hired him, lol. He might have been better off hiring Butterban's old trainer, at that rate.

It's kind of funny to read all of you talk about this fat slob, when most of you thought that he would KO AJ in the rematch. I said it after the first fight, Ruiz is a one hit wonder who will go back to the under cards after his next loss. Nothing more, nothing less. I still remember half of you claiming that the fatter he is, the better he fights hahahahah. Now you idiots are talking about his trainer. IT'S RUIZ. He's a fuccup. The end

Ruiz is completely to blame for his poor discipline as a professional. That is not the coach's fault.

Having said that, however, I am not sure Robles had a great plan in place for Ruiz either. Their plan was to stand and trade like the previous fight...which never happened. It was Robles's job to figure out that a moving Joshua could be a possibility and train his fighter to be mobile, to know how to cut the ring, and being the shorter guy, how to charge in. It is not like Ruiz gave a bad performance on this account, it was like that part of the training was completely missing. Even Robles admitted he never imagine Joshua to be so mobile....That part is the coach's failure.

Ruiz lacks in mobility, upper body movement, closing the distance, etc. Ruiz needs Mike Tyson to be his coach.

Seems like Boxing Clever never saw the fight.
Ruiz wasn't slow. Nor was he unable to put his punches together. AJ was permanently moving and Ruiz wasn't prepared for that tactics and couldn't cut the ring off. That was the problem.

damn just saw a video where Ruiz shows off his car collection and his house, but he said he's looking to move already. He's going to go broke soon. There's not going to be a happy ending to this story.

              Agree wholeheartedly!

at this point, i don't blame him for doing so. I thought him and Ruiz were a good fit for eachother though.

Ruiz's heart and focus are not completely centred on boxing, he admitted as much.

He doesn't like the training, but enjoys the fighting - and when you think about it, a fully focused, motivated Ruiz at his fighting weight which is probably around 220-230, would be an awesome sight.

The fact he was able to dismantle AJ on short notice with pure will and determination goes to show how much ability rests within him.

I don't think we'll ever see a perfectly fit Ruiz, it's just not his thing.

I provided video evidence of what you said to help others understand what they apparently forgot they saw that night.
