Comments Thread For: Chavez: GGG Deserves Canelo Trilogy - But Now Canelo Can KO Him

Ok please enlighten me then, what fight was it that you saw him visibly staggered. I've seen every single fight since his debut in Germany and I'm yet to see him buzzed from a head shot!Comment

Not going to argue the legitimacy of champs etc since I believe it to all be a farce. But if you think ggg won the second fight you are blind. Jabs don't win fights unless your opponent is landing close to nothing (see Joshua- Ruiz 2). Almost every boxer said canelo won the second fight and broadcasters. Fans can claim one thing but most don't understand the scoring processes.Comment

Utter bollox. Granted it was a good clean body shot by Sergey but Golovkin still had the presence of mind and ring generalship to move away from the danger and further shots on his backfoot. Almost stopped means a fighter is under intense fire whilst throwing nothing back - that did not happen & ydksab.Comment

Talking of Ishida... him and Canelo have a common opponent in James Kirkland. Ishida ICED Kirkland with three knockdowns in round 1 but Canelo went 3 whole rounds with the bum looool.Comment

Ishida used to be a young Canelo's sparring partner and got knocked out by Canelo according to GGG. Look it upComment

Lets look at those "4 weight" championship fights...
Matthew Hatton - 154 lbs Hatton was a domestic bum way over his head and had just moved up to super welterweight. He had no business being in there with Canelo
Golovkin - 160 lbs Debatable outcome close fight, could've gone either way but most broadcasters and fans believe GGG won.
Rocky Fielding - 168 lbs If you're not British you can't appreciate how ridiculous this fight was. Fielding is just about domestic level at best, again had no business being on there with Canelo. Callum Smith wiped the floor withis guy in a 1 round destruction (yet he went 3 with Canelo lol) Goldenboy pretty much bought that belt from Fielding.
Sergey Kovalev - 175 lbs An aged 36 year old fighter who had been knocked out twice within the space of 14 months and had a 10 week turnaround time from a previous fight complete with a rehydration clause. Most observers came to the conclusion Kovalev did not come to fight but to survive. He was not committing to his jabs & right hands and eventually got tired before getting KO'd.
So to conclude two of Canelo's weight division titles were won from Domestic standard bums, another title win was extremely contentious and the other was won against an old past it fighter, motivated mainly by money who endured back to back camps.
What a guy Clenelo is.Comment

What a guy Clenelo is.
You gotta love Miguel but he had most of his success as a 140 pounder.
Cotto managed to beat a 1 legged dude for the MW title, but he had no business at 160.
Alvarez knew that this was his chance for a MW title and jumped at the chance to fight Cotto.
After winning the title he surrended the belt to Golovkin when he refused to fight him.
Smart match making is part of the game but the diva jumps around way too much, looking for the least riskiest fights.
"To be the best, you gotta beat the best".Comment

Just think of all the good young fighters that can test themselves against Canelo, Andrade, Charlo, Saunders, Smith, Beterbiev, Bivol. Anyone of them could be a classic, anyone could be hes bogeyman, anyone could be foty. But you wanna see him against an even older and slower version of the guys he's done 24 rounds with. Talk about boring. Let's get Sugar Ray Leonard out of retirement for him too.Comment

Remember Golovkin actually fought hes young star rival. That was Canelo himself. Most people thought he won the first fight, but regardless. Whens Canelo gonna give a young, fresh fighter a chance? Not an old guy, a guy just beaten by an old guy, a domestic level nobody and another old guy..Comment
