Some fighters are self managed, or have friends/spouses do the paper work and consult with them about other matters. Others pay somebody like Klimas to handle their affairs, and sign off on whatever he asks them to sign off on because they trust his judgement and knowledge of the industry.

And btw, I remember Loma getting a lot of criticism and ducking accusations here after Klimas said he would never fight Walters, because the size difference was too great. Look what happened there.
