Why is Loma complaining about fighting a guy from Florida in New York?

Right, so Loma isn't complaining about anything. You were talking about something his manager said. And you know exactly why he said it, because the reason is stated by the source you linked to!
So why start a thread asking a question you already know the answer to, but phrased in a way that makes people think you're asking about something else?
And wherever Teo was born, he himself said that he wants the fight in NY because NY is his home.
Those moves don't get made unless Lomachenko signs off on them.Comment

Some fighters are self managed, or have friends/spouses do the paper work and consult with them about other matters. Others pay somebody like Klimas to handle their affairs, and sign off on whatever he asks them to sign off on because they trust his judgement and knowledge of the industry.
And btw, I remember Loma getting a lot of criticism and ducking accusations here after Klimas said he would never fight Walters, because the size difference was too great. Look what happened there.Comment

Signing off on something is different than asking for it yourself, and very different than complaining about something, which is the terminology MCC used in his thread title.

Even though Bob Arum himself says that is where it belongs.
Lomachenko isn't going to get a pass on that.Comment

people will try to find anything to complain about when they dont like a person. loma is the a-side so shouldn't he get to say where the fight is? thats usually how it works but when you have nothing you just pound the tableComment

"Lies! When has the Lomachenko side ever said they don't want to fight in New York?"
*proof is provided*
"Well...errr...umm... Lomachenko can say where he wants the fight to be held! He is the A-side and it's ok for him to seek every advantage! When Floyd Mayweather did the same that was different, doe! He was a scared coward!"Comment

not putting yourself at a disadvantage by fighting in your opponents home city is getting an advantage? weird way to spin it but ok.Comment
