Yeah so clearly you weren't watching Boxing in 2008
And you're displaying what is known as revisionist history.
The fight at the time was considered a total joke. Oscar claimed he was going to fight the Cotto-Margarito winner and he instead cherry picked Pacquaio who was campaigning 3 weight class lighter than him at the time and moved up 2 weight classes to fight him.
It was a clear as day attempted cherry pick where all boxing experts predicted Pacquaio to get massacred. Instead, it backfired in the most hilarious of ways.
That's how.Comment

Is that why Pacquiao went on to when multiple titles at welterweight and even fought as high as 150??? It was no cherrypick! You keep thinking what you wantYeah so clearly you weren't watching Boxing in 2008

And??? Pacquiao went on to win multiple titles at welterweight and fought as high as 150 vs Margarito.
So it was no cherrypick. Pacquiao has been fighting at welterweight for the past ten years. Are all his opponents cherrypicking Pacquiao???Comment

Yeah.....AFTER THE FACT.
That's literally by definition revisionist history. Literally.
At the time, which is what matters, Pacquaio had just moved to 135. Oscar was campaigning at 154.
It was a cherry pick. Everyone in boxing said it at the time and it backfired massively. That's just a fact and revising history won't change that.
Pull up any article pre Oscar-Pacquaio and see what was said about it. A cherry pick, so much so Pacquaio was expected to get badly hurtComment

Blah blah blah..
Explain why he didn't unify with the Charlo sisters.
Please don't give fans that silly they share the same trainer doe.
This is boxing, not a kumbaya family affair.
Andrade was also available, yet he cherry-picked Gausha.
Kills me with these fanatical fanboys.Last edited by rickJen; 01-19-2020, 03:47 PM.Comment
