I don't know, I don't see any real bias or overt favoritism. I see opinions, many which I disagree with, but they are backed by common sense rationale.

I enjoy the Mailbag immensely. I like seeing Bread's take on things and I think it should be appreciated that a trainer is willing to let us get a glimpse of his thoughts and opinions.

I agree that Lou Duva deserved to be criticized much more than he was for jumping up on the apron like that in the 12th round of Chavez vs Taylor.

That was really a bonehead move that distracted Meldrick. Duva got too emotional and it cost his fighter.

Ok, fair enough but, did you not read bread giving canelo props all throughout the mail bag? Why focus on the 1 thing you didn't like he said about Canelo. And then go along with the he's racist narrative? And is j Rock really a horrible answer when the question is who'd have the best chance at 154 and under?

Not a horrible answer and I don’t think he is racist, I think he is biased which is fine, not ok with me with the platform he has... no big deal. So if he is biased out in public, he may be a closet racist... that’s a whole other issue. I’m backwards bro, I’m biased out in public, I grew up with black people and my best friend I’ve known over 25 yrs is black.. so there it is

I'm white and my fav fighter is Terrence Crawford and Canelo and Loma. Inouye is also really fun and he can fight!

Bread is an employee and so all of the articles and perspectives here reflect that bias...PBC is best, etc etc.

have you ever considered that maybe it's your opinion that's biased... In favor of Mexican fighters? Newsflash, the majority of the boxing world outside of Mexicans considered it a travesty that Richard Steele stopped that fight between Chavez and Taylor. The majority of people defending it were Mexican. Had the same exact situation been reversed and Chavez (or God forbid Canelo) was on the receiving end of a knock down that was stopped with 3 seconds left in a fight that he was clearly winning , I'd bet money that your stance would change and you'd probably lose your s*** when it happened.

As far as the j Rock issue. If you guys read the question, he was asked what fighter at 154 or under would have the "best chance" to beat canelo. So he picked the guy with the most titles at 154 (yes, who he happens to train) . He didn't say he'd pick j Rock to beat canelo. It was, who'd have the best chance.

Now I personally think Hurd would have the best chance because despite losing to j Rock, he's big, strong, durable, and I think his fast pace would cause problems for Canelo who doesn't seem to have the best stamina. What would be your pick if not j Rock?

Hurd would be very easy work for Canelo.

I agree, I still feel sick when I think about the Chavez/Taylor fight. I would’ve been more comfortable if they robbed Taylor on the cards but to stop it with 8 seconds when he was on his feet and seemed fine!
