Hey I def see bread can be bias towards black fighters but I have read him pick white/latino/ fighters over black ones before . Just rarely . I simply skim over if iam getting that vibe . It's the fight breakdowns that I love and the picks . This guy knows his **** . None of you can deny that . I would not say bread is a racist he is simply bias to philly fighters and African americans . We read the bag for his opinion ( yet some of us to hate obviously ) why dont we take the good and ignore the bad ?? Or better yet why doesnt one of us come up with a completely accurate letter to the mailbag that can prove his bias and or racism and then start calling him out via email , not comments he doesnt read . I think if u guys challenge him u will see less racism/ bias then you think .....ask modern mythical matchups where there is a black pbc underdog fighting a lighter skinned non pbc favorite and see who he picks ....if u guys really have that much animosity towards a usually great mailbag and u are so sure he has an agenda prove it ....stop *****ing amongst each other . I feel bread has given me honest answers and is down to earth everytime I chat with him on facebook .Comment

I seem to remember someone writing into the mail bag calling him out on this since hes been and bscene was it one of u guys?? I believe he stated many examples of his opinion where he picked non bias etc . He did just pick josh Taylor's over Regis progrias . Canelo over Jacobs, etcComment

Envy and hate
but it’s cool when my Latino bro’s ride with/ support their own 100%? Nobody has a problem with that. Why black folks can’t do it? In this sport their are many many talented black fighters so it’s not like we’re off base. Haney and Ennis are sure fire stars. It’s funny, I saw the ‘Crawford ain’t nothing special’ talk when he was on the rise. All I could do was shake my head. A lot of clowns on here seem to root against black excellence. That’s hypocritical in the least. Constructive criticism is acceptable but hate isnt. Like Jay said, “let me (us) be great”Bread is mad at Taylor vs Chavez, and picked Haney and boots over Teo and Vergil... is it me or does he always pick the black fighters? Lol bread is garbage, wish they would come up a fight canelo and get J rock KO Rocked! But of course, bread just talking that sh.it because he needs the bread and fighting canelo makes him the most doughComment

have you ever considered that maybe it's your opinion that's biased... In favor of Mexican fighters? Newsflash, the majority of the boxing world outside of Mexicans considered it a travesty that Richard Steele stopped that fight between Chavez and Taylor. The majority of people defending it were Mexican. Had the same exact situation been reversed and Chavez (or God forbid Canelo) was on the receiving end of a knock down that was stopped with 3 seconds left in a fight that he was clearly winning , I'd bet money that your stance would change and you'd probably lose your s*** when it happened.Bread is mad at Taylor vs Chavez, and picked Haney and boots over Teo and Vergil... is it me or does he always pick the black fighters? As far as the j Rock issue. If you guys read the question, he was asked what fighter at 154 or under would have the "best chance" to beat canelo. So he picked the guy with the most titles at 154 (yes, who he happens to train) . He didn't say he'd pick j Rock to beat canelo. It was, who'd have the best chance.
Now I personally think Hurd would have the best chance because despite losing to j Rock, he's big, strong, durable, and I think his fast pace would cause problems for Canelo who doesn't seem to have the best stamina. What would be your pick if not j Rock?Comment

I never said he was racist and I’m on record saying myself that I’m biased toward Mexican fighters because I’m Mexican. But I’m not an analyst or pro trainer with a voice like he is. Bread can’t be biased with the platform he has.. that’s my issue.but it’s cool when my Latino bro’s ride with/ support their own 100%? Nobody has a problem with that. Why black folks can’t do it? I am biased, I admit it but I’m not a voice I’m just some dude. He has a platform and I think his opinions would be much more respected if he wasn’t biased. That’s my issue with that... as far as who at 54 or below has best chance to beat canelo? I’d say Errol Spence, assuming he comes back 100%have you ever considered that maybe it's your opinion that's biased... In favor of Mexican fighters? The Daily Bread Mailbag returns with Stephen "Breadman" Edwards tackling topics such as the big recent win by Murat Gassiev, his upcoming fight with Oleksandr Usyk, numerous mythical matchups, Errol Spence vs. Terence Crawford, Erislandy Lara vs. Hurd, Lomachenko vs. Linares, and more.
Here bread picks canelos to stop meldrickTaylor ( but picks taylor to win a rematch ).
He picks calzaghe over ward .
He cant pick between hagler and monzon ( which did surprise me . Hagler is argued to have beat his favorite fighter in leonard ). If he had a complete agenda he would pick hagler to sweeten Leonard's performance . I think the guy calls it as he sees it with a clear edge in bias to his type fighter ....he is human . I take more good than bad from the mailbag is all iam sayingComment

Ok, fair enough but, did you not read bread giving canelo props all throughout the mail bag? Why focus on the 1 thing you didn't like he said about Canelo. And then go along with the he's racist narrative? And is j Rock really a horrible answer when the question is who'd have the best chance at 154 and under?I am biased, I admit it but I’m not a voice I’m just some dude.
