If Gatti won, there was no fight to be made so maybe he would have gone with Margarito or just done something else.
Ah, so that was the point. I see now.

Floyd opted for Judah..claiming the loss was a fluke

But technically you are right... Gatti held a fringe title and Baldomir was already the recognized champ. The Gatti fight just legitimized Baldomir as an opponent for Floyd in addition to holding the title.

So, the 8 million was offered way back when for Mayweather to fight Margarito? I thought Floyd was still with Bob Arum at the time of the Judah fight? Back when Mayweather was Arum's boy he didn't say mum about a showdown between the two. Guess I could be wrong?

No there is a little confusion going on. Baldomir won the recognized WW title from Judah. Floyd then had the option to fight Baldomir or Judah but selected Judah because he thought Baldomir was unworthy. Then after the Judah fight but before Gatti-Baldomir, Floyd was offered 8 million to fight Margarito. I think Floyd was already free from Arum when the offer came out but I am not sure.

and Tsyzu?? That was the whole point in fighting Gatti (other then it being a huge PPV fight) Floyd wanted to fight Tsyzu to unify after Floyd won the WBC off of (which was stripped from Kostya) But we all know what happened... Floyd won, Kostya lost, Hatton didn't want to fight, Floyd moved up.
you are just as full of it as Floyd

he fought Gatti for money, easy money to fight a popular fighter..not to fight the best, just like he wanted past thier primes Dela and Mosley..money and easy fights..

Yep, you're right. You have shown me the light, with such compelling insight.

I see you have now turned this into a:

He said / she said argument

which is pointless... I'm done with this thread now.
