No one is forgetting or ignoring that. Let's look at the timeline:

Canelo won the vacant WBC junior middleweight title in March, 2011 against Matthew Hatton and Hatton was not in the top 10 at 154 during that time. Canelo got that opportunity early because he was being groomed as the next Mexican superstar, which is perfectly fine.

He fought Mayweather in 2013 and to his credit, he earned that fight by defeating Austin Trout in a unification. Trout was eager to unify with Canelo but middleweights weren't as eager to do the same with GGG. Both are great fighters which is why both of their fights were so hotly contested.

Exactly my point. Canelo got certain opportunities because he was being groomed as the next Mexican superstar. It doesn't mean he's not a great fighter because he is. I'm just pointing out that GGG didn't get those same opportunities, which is why it took longer for him to break through.

Let's add some context though. WHY was GGG handed belts and elevated? Was it because he just walked up and said "hey, give me my belts"? or was it because guys like Felix Sturm, Sergio Martinez, and Miguel Cotto didn't want to face him?

Everyone had convenient excuses ("nobody knows who he is", "he doesn't bring anything to the table", blah blah blah)

Even Canelo could have made the fight a year earlier but he didn't want to adhere to the WBC's deadline, which is why he vacated. The WBC then "handed" Golovkin the belt. Isn't handing over the belt just as weak as having it handed to you? but at least Canelo eventually fought him twice. The other guys I mentioned never fought him at all.

Translation: "I don't like GGG", which is fine.

so, no, canelo wasnt avoided by anyone other than serial avoider of everyone sturm, and no a great MW does not yield the title in his second number one contender.

interesting haranguing someone for not figthing someone else by showing that someone else he fought fighting someone else.

Interesting that you won't even own up to thinking Canelo fought Ricky. That's pretty bad to confuse the two.
