When you beat the #2 p4p fighter in the world after going up a weight class and beating the 2 best guys at the weight, which tougher fights are you looking for him to take?

Exactly. Maybe more like a mountain of salt for some. Mayweather wins this in a landslide over anything that uses boxing gloves to make a living. He accomplished more and beat the two closest competitors to the decade throne honors. Not even debatable.

              7 fights from 2010-2015. Thats 5 years.
If you include the McG fight, then 8 fights from 2010-2017. That's
              7 years.
The award is for fighter of the DECADE, which is 10 years.
His resume is what it is, but my argument is him only "fighting" techinically 4 years out of the decade because he took almost 3 years off in that span.

hahahahahaha get a grip. PAC deserved fotd last decade easily. while floyd was hiding from the big welterweight threats manny was making history.

PAC deserved fotd this decade too. PAC made history multiple times again this decade and beat multiple champions while floyd stays hiding again.

I got no issue w Pac winning last decade but this decade was all Floyd and he only had to fight 5 years to do it. And TWO of the fights were with non boxers !

His victories over Canelo and Pacquaio were enough to win. Everything else was icing.
Fighter of the decade...a decade is 10 years. in those ten years, he was "active " for 7, but took almost 3 years off during that span. If 2 fights in basically 4.5 years earns you a fighter of the DECADE, then damn the bar is low! Throw in the fact that the Pac fight was 3-5 years too late and I cant see him being awarded this honor. But, to each their own.

By making history do you mean losing 10-2 to Floyd? Or do you mean being the first WW champion to lose to Jim Horn?

I know one champion he didn't beat.

                      Jan 1st 2010 - December 31st 2015 is 6 years.

So he fought in 6 years of the decade. 7 if you include McGregor.

2016, 2018 and 2019 were the only years he didn't fight.
