I'm sure quality of opposition had to have been considered. There is also the impact a fighter makes on the sport as a whole. Floyd was the highest earner this past decade and I'm sure that counts for something with many of these writers.

Imagine if Floyd was facing Clottey, Mosley, JMM, Bradley etc when Pac faced them.

I understand Pac has been doing good with guys like Thurman but Thurman isnt exactly good because of the physical violence and power aspect of his game. He only good because stylistically he has some traits to where he can beat some guys.

The people Floyd faced at the time he faced them were much better, younger, stronger, and more of a threat minus Berto who had some power, but was washed.

You know Pacquiao deserved it after having beaten two young fighters the latter of which was a prime, undefeated world champion. Smh. Great job on giving Mayweather that concession.
