Yeah just like it's debatable whether or not I can fly to the moon because I've never tried it right? It's not debatable that Pacquiao hasn't done it. It's not "debatable" that he will never try to. For a reason: He can't. If he could Freddie Roach would have never requested for Shane Mosley to get down to 142 for a fight with Pacquaio. Or even Cotto at 145. What we DO know is Armstrong never made such request. That's not debatable. You want to give Pacquiao credit for something he's never even come close to doing.

And yes, I'll take a historian's word over an anonymous poster on the internet. I don't have the time to research the way they do. I don't have the resources they do. Do you take your buddies medical diagnosis or a webMD.com's recommendation over a doctors?
You can take anybody's word you want to. It doesn't change the fact that your comments indicate you're misinformed and ignorant. And last time I checked MD's go through years of training as well as internships and a residency. There are no such requirements for boxing opinions. ****** comparison

This thread went well. Dont ever compare Pac to Armstrong. Henry is on another level that Pac will never reach.

Pacquiao had passed the greatness of Armstrong as of now.

Go to hell. u'r arguing with Merchant who has been around boxing even before u were born. dont post anymore, u'r just exposing ur idiocy. asking for a reason why Pac is being compared to Armstrong? u dont watch boxing do u? the reason why Pac is Armstrong of this generation is all over the net. Do some research first before arguing here.

                • Who else in this era is more like Hank Armstrong?

Why do people try to make comparisons like this into a bad thing?

They're not saying Pac is better, or even as good.

                  • it is perfectly fine for pbf to compare himself with malcolm x and dr. king but fans/analysts should never ever compare pac with hank! shame on them!
