Billy Joe Saunders v Canelo Alvarez

I knew Canelo would fight him next because he looked so lousy scoring his come from behind KO over a guy not even ranked in the top 40 in the world by boxrec. He owns a world title Canelo will almost certainly take from him in my opinion. I know he is a UK fighter and you like him but I just don't think he has been impressive in the past two years since he beat Lemieux in a good win. Canelo is at or near the top of all the top 10 pfp best lists but Saunders is not on anyone's top 10 pfp list.

Pretty much agree with all this. I am from the UK but can't see BJS winning this at all. Maybe if he had stayed in the gym and worked and worked after the Lemieux fight he could've stayed sharp and made this a contest, but meh, that's history and so will he be once Canelo batters him.

I thought Lemieux was a lot better than he was tbh. I remember my friend telling me Saunders would box rings around him. I should’ve listened...😂

We’ll i get that but Lemieux does have that one punch equalizer
Wasn’t a bad bet cause all it would take is one shot , obviously if he could get to him
And I’m not one to make excuses but I really do believe that the weight and an injury were the reason why Lemieux never even came close to getting him
Or maybe it was just a chitty night lol
