I always thought Helenius was pretty good, until he lost to Gerald fkin Washington....that's embarrassing.

Perhaps Breazeale is perceived to be too big of a risk. But it's kind of hard to take that seriously when the last time we saw him, he was splattered across the floor like road kill after talking crazy trash leading into the fight.

Call it like it is - Kownacki should not get a title shot without facing an eliminator type fight. That should be a rule for all. Even optional defenses should have a real legit test to qualify. Because he’s with PBC, he’s all teed up for a shot. No way. That’s the Hearn/PED cheat Whyte route. And no - Breazeale ain’t good enough. Helenius definitely isn’t more than a time killer a la Arreola

I’d be happier with a Charles Martin rematch than the euro level Helenius

Disheartening, looks like he's fighting a guy who already lost to a guy he beat. Helenius is big but never lived up to potential and isn't even what he used to be. Too many injuries and inactivity over the years and I question how much he really wants to be in the fight game. Kownacki's activity will wear down the Nordic Nightmare.

Trouble is limited but he's big and has some pop and can grind if need be. I think Kownacki's handlers rightly suspected this one was too risky. He had struggles with Martin and couldn't put a dent in Arreola, those are warning signs that he may be more susceptible than anticipated.

It was a pretty entertaining fight that was close and I thought Martin was on his way to stopping Kownacki in that last round. Would love to see a 12 round rematch. But I actually think brezeale beats kownacki...too tall, hits too hard, has guts for days, and Kownacki is just too easy to tag

Why if he’s not even contemplating Breazeale ? Ortiz and Ruiz are worse match ups for Kownacki style wise ? Ha
