Holyfield fought nothing like Lewis in that fight.

Maybe there were points in Lewis' career where he wasn't ready for Bowe. And the best Bowe was a much taller order than Mercer and Holyfiled (on offense). So yeah, I shouldn't be too dismissive of Bowe. But stylistically, Bowe would struggle with Lewis. Just like I have been explaining to others in the Frazier-Bowe thread that Frazier plays to Bowe's advantages.

Well also we all saw the Olympic finals in 88 . Lennox could beat bowe at any point but he certainly would not outclass him in 1993

How he advanced the sport
the eye test


Fury easily tops the list: No one beats that guy when he is on; best defensively; best comeback in Boxing history. Everyone else, even at their best or near it, was beaten.

Ali and Lewis obviously round out the top 3.

Holmes probably sneaks in before anyone else.

Then you have guys like Vitali, Foreman and even Frazier.

After that you can start talking about Lewis.
