There is nothing I can do about it but I still love boxing and watch the good fights when they do happen.

Boxing has to be the biggest joke in sports. Only, it's not even funny anymore

Everybody is afraid to lose their 0 these days, fighters are reluctant to take risks because one loss and you can fall into obscurity. Unfortunately part of it is down to fans

I feel pretty fortunate to live in a time when Wilder and Floyd fought actually.
Honestly, there's always been a lot of ducking. The glory days are the Don King days really. When King fell from grace there was no one left to deliver the fans what they wanted and he was only able to do it through lies.
I used to believe in the takes on all challengers eras, but, they're either light in numbers, a don king era, or a fantasy.

There are a billion titles which mean nothing.
Some decent fights happen here and there but only because of luck.
How can a sport on life support like this even still exist?
It's truly amazing.
I've hung on for a long, long time, going back to the early 90s but I mean, why should anyone even care anymore?
There is no uniformity and that is why a lot of people don't follow it.

Money rules the world and as long as profits continue to grow things will stay the same. If things were that bad and money wasn’t flowing...trust me things would change. We as fans aren’t getting BG what we want but the handlers and business men are. It a what it is.

It's when a top guy faces a no hoper they feel safe enough to go for a ko. Generally speaking.
Each div needs 1 champ
So many champs is the nonsense that irks me.

If you are not ready for certain fights as a boxer then cool, but this year is the year of us wanting and supporting fights that we want, enough of the politics or deflection.

The business side of any sport will always take precedence over the glory and legacy of an athlete or team. Boxing is no different. Promoters and managers want to leverage as much revenue out of a fighter as they can with the least amount of risk. This is why we see so many over-hyped opponents being marketed to the fans as legitimate threats or formidable opponents, when if fact they are no-hopers and journeyman tossed into the fire to hype up a prospect's or champion's career. Fans of Fighter A will blindly remain loyal to them so long as they keep winning. Any stiff that Fighter A defeats automatically is elevated to elite status by fans and certain biased writers and sites. This is the future of boxing going forward. Ride the hype train as far as you can. We're seeing this with fighters like Broner, Wilder, Tank, Conlan to name a few.
