No doubt. I’m glad Boxingscene writers didn’t try to be cool/edgy or different and pick some Minimumweight boxer to appear like boxing intellectuals. The right answer is usually the most obvious one and there is no need to overthink this one, it’s Canelo for sure.

At this point forward I would prefer to see Canelo fight 168+ exclusively. That’s where his power truly is. People think Kovalev took a dive. Lol

Canelo, like Pac, so seasoned having worn 8oz+ gloves throughout his career the weight is insignificant. You can tell by the speed.

Canelo’s money punch his entire career dating to Baldomir is his rocket launcher left hook that he can through it as a sidewinder to the top, mid range, or come under like an uppercut. This is the essence of true power puncher, and being planted at it he’s the best in the game. More “pure” boxers whom focus on speed like Khan, Ward, Loma, GRJ... don’t have much pop cause they focus on forward directional offense. Canelo, and other punchers break you down from the sides.

This is why Canelo is the most complete fighter in the game.
