Performance of the year was Beterbiev vs The Nail. I knew Artur was good but fux sake he was awesome that night against a top quality opponent. With Spence looking iffy against Porter, Beterbiev shifts him out my top 5 p4p.

2 boring fights. Edged jacobs in a fight that had hardly any offensive action, but Canelo did slightly more. Then the glorified sparring session (minus 2 punches in the 11th) vs an old washed Kovalev who was fighting for the 2nd time in 10 weeks and has now been ko'd in 3 consecutive yrs. If this is what has earned canelo fighter of the yr, it's either because boxing is on a serious decline or its a popularity contest.
