This statement implies that beating a legend is a necessary condition to becoming a legend. What is not implied in this statement is that beating a legend is a sufficient condition to becoming a legend. Otherwise you would have to include fighters like Buster Douglass, Oliver McCall, Jeff Horn, Tim Bradley, Hasim Rahman, etc. as legends.

Garcia gets a full credit if he fights and beats Crawford or a healthy Spence. Lets not try consent this guys cherrypicking ways.
In addition, his conditioning and overall health wasn't at full strength and neither was he at his physical peak either. Yet we still gave Pac full credit for that victory because he defeated a man who was 10 years younger than himself.
We cannot have it both ways. We cannot celebrate Pac victories when he wins but then want to turn around and make excuses for his age once he loses. It's not right. As long as he is still capable of fighting at a very high championship level then he is fair game for anyone.
He's proven that he can still hang with the young pups. If it were not so, then he would have been retired many many years ago like Money Mayweather has.
