I'm talking about race because when given the following characteristics:

    Amateur record
    Pro record/resume
    KO %
    Championship belts
    Multiple weight classes
    Etc

Depending the fighters race, dictates who cheers for them as proven by these posters post history. You can take 2 boxers, one black and one white, with the SAME EXACT credentials and the SAME usual suspects will undermine the black fighter and rationalize and find excuses to cheer for the white fighter with the same exact stats/credentials.... Actually, I take that back, many times, the white fighter will have inadequate credentials compared to the black fighter and somehow these same posters find a way to justify it.

Of course race plays a role. And you guys that say you don't see color are straight liars. If you didn't, you'd be running every red light.

Ortiz is a legit fighter. Was a legit boogeyman for a long time.

Wilder beats him then all I hear about is Bryant Jennings over and over and over....
It's the same usual suspects, over and over and over.

Rigondeaux amateur record 374 wins and 12 losses, 2X olympic gold medalist. But when Loma beat his asss and made him QUIT he all of a sudden was a bum.

I'm sure race didnt have anything to do with that!

Funny how that works when its a white guy instead huh

Nothing to do with race, I'm sure.
I've said this countless times & it seems its finally taking hold on a consensus basis that ams mean jack sht at pro level overall & although they will mean very slightly more now that headgear is removed from the olympics,it still will never mean that much especially considering these east euros that are selectively lauded for their amateur records are old af when they go pro & shouldn't in any way shape or form compare to guys like Mayweather or DeLaHoya that went pro at a very young age after already having Olympic medals.

I have never found it impressive when guys like ggg rack up huge amateur body counts in countries without deep boxing backrounds like Kazakhstan (compared to usa/Mexico/UK/Russia amateur boxing)where ggg was fighting 3/4 rd fights w headgear oftentimes vs complete bums or very young complete bums(underage amateurs are by definition bums esp. from Kazakhstan where 99.999% won't go anywhere especially when ggg was coming through the amateur ranks yrs ago.)

This is why it was so cringe when Bhop or jones can't remember which one of the 2 was saying rigo vs Loma was the best fight in history on paper because they both had 2 gold medals. I knew that was a complete mismatch not based just on size but mainly on career trajectory & Rigo just LITERALLY showing up for a paycheck like JCC jr ,AmereCon or to a lesser extent Broner all do constantly.

He beat a guy named Gennady Kovalev in the Olypmics. I find that slightly amusing and relevant to this thread.

He also beat Jacobs, Andrade, and E-Rod...

(Porter had an amateur record of 276–14)...

I give loma massive credit if hes actually fighting teo next & this is the 1st opponent that will truly make a believer out of me & call him p4p#1-2, & it'll begin to truly justify the hype, that said I don't rate his rigo win because Rigo was already at a size disadvantage but through no fault of Loma he decided to intentionally stink up the joint just to spite Arum imho & get his paycheck. So even though its not Lomas fault he deserves no credit for that win by Lomas own admission Rigo was a complete gimmie that had nothing to do with loma beating him but rather his own pulling like a Chavez jr vs Nelo but worse

Of course race plays no part.
Lmao. How does race play a part when they are undermining Wilder in support of AJ. A BLACK GUY
