Rexy, dear... don't mix sports with politics... it's a too tricky issue...Oh yeah, because China isn't known for things like jailing people for no reason and censoring the world.
I mean, there's been two Canadian citizens that have been detained in China for over a year now for no reason.
It's a lot easier to speak out against that sort of thing when theres free speech. It's another thing to be sent to a communist prison for speaking out against ethnic cleansing.
... the "ethnic problems" in Xinjiang emerged since before our "current Era" -- i.e. since Han dynasty took hold of the Tarim region...Comment

I never said it was new, just that Beterbiev objects. And that if he waited until he was in the ring, standing over Meng's lifeless body and speaks out against it, he would likely be censored and detained.Comment

... The Chinese commies have no political business with foreign citizens, such as Beterbiev... those who bought the fight don't give a shit about such issues...Comment

This... precisely.
They are about the business.... otherwise, the millions of Americans and Canadians going to China would be arrested daily... they are not, just isolated instances where we only get a part of the story.Comment

... you're doing a "reductio ad absurdum" here... but it's OK... some people need this -- even if they don't really (want to) understand...

Beterbiev is getting old... His career staled for a long time. SO... if he can make a million dollars crushing this guy, and then move on to better things, he should take it.haha wouldn't it be nice to see their tax papers? How much are these folks actually paying back? And I wonder if it's coincidentally a lot less since getting in good with the Bama's...
Anyways, I thought ROC was done with boxing, so this is a surprise. I don't think TR is losing sleep since this wasn't going to draw big numbers in the states anyway and Beterbiev gets a better chunk of cash.
edit: reading that last paragraph, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I wouldn't blame Beterbiev for not fighting there - hopefully the IBF develops some rational thought and doesn't strip him for it.
And yes: would love the IRS to focus on other big names too, not just Trump.Comment
