Nobody is forcing him not to fight in China. He could fight in China and use the platform to denounce the Chinese, or donate a portion of his purse to Uighuir Resistance Army - or... or... or...

Sure he CAN fight in China....We are operating under the hypothetical that he refuses to fight in China.

            He doesn't draw in Canada?
Why not do a card in Russia?

TR do a card in Russia? Beats me, someone can ask Arum why he doesn't put on shows in Russia. But putting up 1.4M for this fight was more than enough. Good, fair bid put on by Arum.

Mad respect to beterbiev if he refuses to fight in China. Ethnic cleansing is ****in wrong. It’s an Ali like stance and fw beterbiev a lot for that

haha wouldn't it be nice to see their tax papers? How much are these folks actually paying back? And I wonder if it's coincidentally a lot less since getting in good with the Bama's...

Anyways, I thought ROC was done with boxing, so this is a surprise. I don't think TR is losing sleep since this wasn't going to draw big numbers in the states anyway and Beterbiev gets a better chunk of cash.

edit: reading that last paragraph, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I wouldn't blame Beterbiev for not fighting there - hopefully the IBF develops some rational thought and doesn't strip him for it.

If Beterbiev is still displaying gene pool characteristics of the Hulk in December 2021 then schedule next review for December 2023 for possible May 2024 fight.
                    Stone cold but true. Sadly.

Oh yeah, because China isn't known for things like jailing people for no reason and censoring the world.

I mean, there's been two Canadian citizens that have been detained in China for over a year now for no reason.

It's a lot easier to speak out against that sort of thing when theres free speech. It's another thing to be sent to a communist prison for speaking out against ethnic cleansing.
