you live in complete denial...and in a fantasyland

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

you should try seeking the truth and pay attention to things rather than just picking up whatever narrative your feeble mind desires and running with it

Rolling the dice like you did? You mean running away from the sport for 2 years when the WW division was red hot.

red hot with what? miguel cotto who floyd wanted to fight years earlier but arum wouldnt make it? once cotto got out of arum they made a fight easily

red hot with what? margarito? who got his stool pushed in by old ass shane? and basically got beat the fugg up by cotto twice? margarito beat cotto the first time because cotto didnt like to clinch when neccesary ..otherwise cotto was carving dude up...being able to take punishment isnt a skill...margarito sucks and always did...he just had a tolerance to take abuse and still come forward...he was tough but not good and floyd would have beaten him easily

red hot with what? shane mosley? who floyd wanted to fight years earlier also but shane said he had vacations and tooth problems to fix??!?!

lol...red hot with what? pac? whos promoter stalled a fight with floyd for years out of spite because floyd left him and became a mega star? and when bob finally made a new prized pupil he didnt want floyd to ruin him?

Prime Maragrito would've been a bad match up for Floyd, and you know it. Floyd wouldn't be able to earn his respect, and he'd just keep marching forward, landing body shot after body shot. You forgot to mention Paul Williams, a guy that was also a bad matchup for Floyd. Tall, rangy, non stop puncher with a very good jab.

And Floyd didn't want anything to do with Cotto in his prime. Gtfoh with that.

Well to be fair, he did take some chances back then when he was Pretty Boy. Money May is a completely different story.

Yeah, I second that... Both Margacheato and Williams would have given Floyd problems. Though I think Floyd would've fared better against Margo. Williams is just too tall, too long, volume puncher. Floyd would've lost by points. The fight with prime Cotto would've ended up like the Judah fight.

Yep, I think a prime WW Cotto would've been hell for Floyd. Cotto really knew how to deal with speed, and he had a great timing jab. He could've gotten 7 to 8 rounds off of Floyd.

Pacquiao- Its true what you said about Pacquiao. But on the flip side Mayweather didn't take Manny's offer either of a 50/50 (50/50 excluded both fighters from random drug test)

Mayweather clearly did not want to fight an up and coming Margacheto. Mayweather had no idea he was cheating. (Mayweather's ducking senses proved him right on this one as Margarito was proven to be cheating. Mayweather had no idea.)
Bob Arum wanted Floyd to sign a two fight agreement to fight cheato.

He made the same $$$$ as fighting Baldomir who was more known at the time. And technically had three major belts. He just did not keep the IBF he beat from Zab. Made ring fighter of the year if I remember?? Cheato had a belt gifted to him he lost against Santos...
