Floyd had life & death 50-50 fights with Maidana without his gloves twice & DeLaHoya,& Pac & way back Castillo,& had to sucker punch Ortiz,(not that I feel compassion for that douche) Bottom line is that Floyds wins this decade were all very lackluster or have asterisk like drained canelo, but Floyd himself was already in his mid 30s also so he deserves credit for that & it should be taken in consideration too.. bottom line is that Canelos 22 or so wins this decade & his draw, have been more praiseworthy & risky than floyds 9 fights this decade where an asterisk by his own standards win over Canelo is his best win this decade. Lets be real besides Canelo floyds 2nd best win this decade was Mosely 2 fights before Nelo destroyed him at age 20 & pac his 3rd best win

This is coming from someone who blames pac for Mayweather not fighting him sooner because I'm confident it was pacs fault over suspect shady testing ducking.
I thought Floyd beat maidana in both fights and that he “beat” pac comfortably...even though he fought like it was a game of tag. Even though the 1st maidana fight was reasonably close, I can’t really find a way to give it to maidana, unlike the 1st ggg fight where I thought canelo clearly lost.

Thread pretty much confirms that Floyd SHOULD get the FOTD. Whether you think his resume is weak compared to SRL or not, it doesn't matter because it is miles ahead of the other two contenders in the running.

every era doesnt have prime all time greats.....and all, the greats didnt fight in deep eras

.....what prime all time greats did Julio cesar chavez beat? none and many consider him the greatest mexican fighter ever

joe calzaghe beat all washed up or clearly past it greats

rocky marciano beat all past prime hall of famers and many closer to 40 than 30

so whats your point? you can only fight whose in your era

Canelo has a case no doubt, but Floyd beat Canelo this decade in the ring, that has got to have a lot of influence.
Canelo was a under card fighter at 23. Still wet behind the ears. Floyd fought him at just the right time. Big deal. Anything Canelo has done in the decade has WAY far supersedes All of Floyd has done in past decade. Easy Youd have to be a totla moron to not see it.

Not at all Nancy. Manny did it first
. When Floyd was in his prime he coulnt do it. It was the Manny Show. lol Not its the Canelo show.
Canelo has done more than Floyd can dream of doing in the ring.
