your posts are dog**** bruh! because you defend the guy that controls most of boxing and is super successful....you also call out others on their double standards of knocking certain fighters for actions and then excusing/defending others when they do something similar! how dare you!

Please, say it ain't so Terence! This move makes Bud look like a stomp down bitch made coward. He easily whoops both of these guys on the same night. So what do you have to say about that PBC haters?Comment

But he is violating federal law by having a financial interest in the promotional activities of his fighters. Whether or not he personally profits from that interest is irrelevant. It is still a violation of the Ali Act.Last edited by OnePunch; 12-26-2019, 11:25 AM.Comment

My reaction to the headline was the same as JCC Sr's in the picture. Its a good fight in that at least its a bigger name and more talented fighter than Crawford has faced in a while. But its a weak alternative to Porter and not as big of a step up in competition as Crawford should be making.Comment

wrong. I do not believe he is stealing from his fighters, and I challenge you to find a single post anywhere, anytime, that states otherwise. Dont put words in my mouth.

the other man...a failed, low level, promoterComment

one man smart, and powerful, enough to bend a rule/law....arguably most powerful man in boxing...fighters love him(this is the most important point of them all)...fighters are paid well and loyal....never talks about other promoters or trashes them....has successfully fended off lawsuits from rival promoters who are jealous
the other man...a failed, low level, promoter
But for the uninformed, the relevant parts are bolded.......
SEC. 5. CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
Section 17 of the Professional Boxing Safety Act of 1996 (15 U.S.C. 6308) (as redesignated by section 4 of this Act) is amended--
(1) in the first sentence by striking ‘No member’ and inserting ‘(a) REGULATORY PERSONNEL- No member’; and
(2) by adding at the end the following:
‘(b) FIREWALL BETWEEN PROMOTERS AND MANAGERS-
‘(1) IN GENERAL- It is unlawful for--
‘(A) a promoter to have a direct or indirect financial interest in the management of a boxer; or
‘(B) a manager--
‘(i) to have a direct or indirect financial interest in the promotion of a boxer; or
‘(ii) to be employed by or receive compensation or other benefits from a promoter, except for amounts received as consideration under the manager’s contract with the boxer
I think that speaks for itself...... unless of course you believe that controlling the live gates, broadcast rights sales, and advertising sales does not constitute a "financial interest".......
Edit: One could certainly argue the case that nobody is being harmed by Haymons violation of the Act, but that doesnt change the fact that he is indeed violating it.Last edited by OnePunch; 12-26-2019, 11:38 AM.Comment

The Justice Dept has NEVER filed a single case of an Ali Act violation. EVER. Is it your contention that nobody has ever violated the Act? If so, that would make it the most unnecessary law ever passed.

as long as the skin colors of the people involved suit your liking, you wouldnt care one bit.
But I would bet a steak dinner that if it were Arum or Hearn, you would have a completely different take. Unfortunately your posting history shows that you see most issues through the prism of race, which makes you blind to the bigger picture........Comment

Terry,
you might have a point if you had fighters leaving al in droves....if guys were complaining about "slave contracts"...if good fights werent getting made
al has his share of stinkers and mismatches(its amazing how many of his mismatches ended up being very good) just like anyone else...but he also puts on as many good fights as anyone else.....the fighters are happy and paid...whatever hes doing the people and fighters seem to like....
why hate on it?Comment
