I love Crawford but he ain’t close to being a Mayweather. This generation of welterweights doesn’t come close to the last.

CRAWFORD HAS NOT FOUGHT ANYBODY. HE NEEDS A NAME. You don't jump to Errol Spence (who IS at the top of the division with two belts, IBF and WBC) without earned it. Shawn Porter is the best possible test besides Ugas. He needs to pass AT LEAST ONE (I say two) tests before he has any sort of case for Spence. And he needs to pass those tests without asterisks.

Or are you still saying that his beating Jeff Horn entitles him to a Spence fight?
Crawford should absolutely take the Porter fight because its way better than any options he has at Top Rank BUT PLEASE do not push the narrative that he needs to earn the Spence fight cause that is fan boy nonsense. He has been a consensus P4P fighter long before Spence even won his first title, ideally they should be fighting each other straight away. A win over Crawford probably takes Spence into the P4P top 3.

If Crawford doesn't make the fight then thats a black mark against him but this notion that he has to fight his way to Spence smells like PBC shilling at its finest (worst).

"consensus"? You mean Crawford and Bob Arum over beating Jeff Horn? Or ESPN pushing it despite Crawford getting dropped by Kavaliauskas?

Or maybe it's that signature low blow against Khan that convinced the "consensus"?

I mean WHICH OPPONENT put Crawford P4P? I keep asking and don't get an answer.

This is the right answer. People are overlooking that and overly defending Crawford. We need to ask - why did Crawford not tout his usual "ALL THE TOP" line when directly asked? Because maybe...just MAYBE...that's not what he wants now that it's open door, or as Spence would say, #StrapSeason. Wouldn't want Shawn Porter to be the guy that basically brings that last title to PBC.

            I'm going to ask again.

WHO DID CRAWFORD BEAT THAT MAKES HIM P4P #1????

Meanwhile you got Spence over there with TWO BELTS. Last I checked, when you got two belts, YOU call the shots. Not some guy who has one belt that was won from another guy that "many" thought stole it.

Uncle Al see’s Porter in a rebuild mode so losing to Crawford doesn’t hurt him much and best case scenario he beats Crawford and all the welterweight titles go to PBC.
Nobody really knows the condition of Porter. He might fight late spring or early Summer next year. That might be a tune up fight, soft touch and if he is good a faith in the second half of the year.

unrealistic to include him in contract

Probably beating Gamboa did, the fact is he's higher than Spence on just about any P4P list you can find so the narrative that Crawford needs to earn a fight with Spence is just silly sounding.

Have Crawford and Arum paid off ESPN, Ring TV, BoxRec, TBRB?? cause they all have Crawford above Spence. If you think Crawford is a fraud then you should want Spence to fight him instead of coming up with excuses why the fight shouldn't happen.

Porter would be a great test for Crawford, he's an underestimated monster. That makes Spence an even more intriguing opponent for Crawford - if Bud can beat the brawler, can he beat the boxer? Now that'd be a set of fights I'd be down for PPV on.

All those orgs you named (minus ESPN who corrected course recently) are 'eye test' and you know it.

RESUME. Who did you beat, who did that guy beat?

EVERYONE with any credibility knows that's Carnelo. Whether you put Loma #2 or Spence #2 doesn't matter. What we DO know is that there's no way BASED ON RESUME that Crawford is anywhere in the Top 5. They're marketing their guy - which is why I'm half glad he gave a half ass answer to fighting Porter. Let him expose himself.

Crawford is the B-side. He holds ONE belt. He's fresh off an unimpressive win, just before that a low blow win. He needs to get back momentum. He needs NAMES.

Ugas (only a big name because of his performance against Porter)
                    Thurman
                    Porter
                    Danny

THEN he can fight Spence if he beats even one of that list. Spence is the A-side. Period. You don't get to jump to the A-side when you're pulling B-side resumes.

You Crawford fans on NSB, right...the ones that say Crawford's being ducked by PBC. Dissect his response and explain to me again how Crawford is (according to Bradley) "begging" for the fight...?
