BREAKING: Al Haymon Green Lights Porter to fight Crawford. Crawford's response...?

Update from Steve Kim (who we all know is inside):

And, if you didn't watch DAZN last night Crawford was there supporting Hooker and he was interviewed and asked about fighting Porter.

You Crawford fans on NSB, right...the ones that say Crawford's being ducked by PBC. Dissect his response and explain to me again how Crawford is (according to Bradley) "begging" for the fight...?

Let’s see what happens in the coming weeks. I really hope it’s made since Crawford can’t spend another year fighting B level competition. Fighting Porter would be a good step to getting some fights with other PBC fighters afterwards as long as he wins.

Of course. He'll allow Porter to try and get another title for PBC. Nothing to lose with Porter. He won't allow guys like Spence. Similar to how he let Ruiz fight Joshua.

Not sure why Crawford would fight Porter unless there is a contract in place to fight Spence or someone better after.
Uncle Al see’s Porter in a rebuild mode so losing to Crawford doesn’t hurt him much and best case scenario he beats Crawford and all the welterweight titles go to PBC.

I have to ask. You guys just refuse to criticize this and you keep coming back to Spence.

CRAWFORD HAS NOT FOUGHT ANYBODY. HE NEEDS A NAME. You don't jump to Errol Spence (who IS at the top of the division with two belts, IBF and WBC) without earned it. Shawn Porter is the best possible test besides Ugas. He needs to pass AT LEAST ONE (I say two) tests before he has any sort of case for Spence. And he needs to pass those tests without asterisks.

Or are you still saying that his beating Jeff Horn entitles him to a Spence fight?

I’m saying a champion should seek out fights with other champions. Crawford is considered a top P4P fighter. His resume is missing fights against other top P4P fighters. Porter is not on that level. Most P4P rankings have Spence in the top 8-10, Crawford in the top 3.

If Porter is down, the fight will happen. If it doesn't then Crawford doesn't deserve any respect from anyone .
