CRAWFORD HAS NOT FOUGHT ANYBODY. HE NEEDS A NAME. You don't jump to Errol Spence (who IS at the top of the division with two belts, IBF and WBC) without earned it. Shawn Porter is the best possible test besides Ugas. He needs to pass AT LEAST ONE (I say two) tests before he has any sort of case for Spence. And he needs to pass those tests without asterisks.

Or are you still saying that his beating Jeff Horn entitles him to a Spence fight?
Criticising Crawford’s resume is fine as I agree it is lacking especially at ww but to say he needs to beat Porter to ‘earn’ a Spence fight is pretty laughable when he’s a titleholder in the same division as Spence. What did Mikey do to earn a Spence fight?

He considers HIMSELF a "top P4P fighter", yes.

Certain people on ESPN consider him a "top P4P fighter" for beating the ATG Jeff Horn, yes.

I keep asking - RESUME. Who did you beat, who did that guy beat?

Shawn Porter's RESUME runs circles around Terence Crawford even now.

First of all, Fox does not recognize WBO.

Second, even if they did, Spence holds TWO belts. Or did you forget he was IBF before he took WBC from Porter?

Crawford won't fight Manny, who would be equivalent to him (one title vs one title).

That leaves Porter as far as TOP names in the division. Beat Porter decisively and with no asterisks and you earn a shot at least against someone like Thurman or Ugas (who I think beats Crawford, BTW). Beat them and you earn a shot at Spence.

That's how this works. If you don't have any marquee names you beat and the ones you did beat all have asterisks it doesn't justify you jumping to the front of the line.

Mikey didn't deserve the fight against Spence, but Mikey is the one who pushed for that fight because he "dared to be great". Crawford is the one in this situation who would need to push for the fight to "dare to be great" - because what all of you still refuse to accept even with Crawford's own MF'n words backing it up ("I beat Jeff Horn, that makes me #1") is that Crawford is the B-side against Spence. He MIGHT be the A-side against Porter. Okay. Prove you deserve that by beating a guy people don't think you can beat - aka a threat - and EARN the MF.

Be a good fight. But why not garcia (not mikey)or thurman. Spence us out if the game for a while so any mention of him is a moot point at this time.

So Mikey got the fight because he called Spence out but when Crawford calls Spence out he needs to beat Porter and Thurman to get a shot at him? Lol do you not want to see unifications? Champions should fight other champions in their division end of story.

I like that matchup. It's a good fight for Crawford. It's my one only concern is that Porter outworks and beats Bud to the punch for much of the night and still gets jobbed on the three official scorecards.

Danny has Redkach to worry about, Thurman is still in recovery from surgery and helping Harrison prepare for Charlo.

Crawford called Spence out when Spence was booked for a fight and after a bad car accident. Crawford has never once stepped to Spence in the ring like Fury did to Wilder.

                  Now what?

I don't think he loses 3 scorecards. That fight ends in either a SD for Porter or a SD for Crawford assuming Porter can't drop Crawford. If Porter drops Crawford I don't see him losing - which is why I give him a good chance.

Let's just hope so because he fought his heart out against Erroll Spence and for my money I thought he deserved at least a Draw for his efforts.

It would have been a draw had he not gotten dropped, easily. That was the cincher. There's no way you can win a close fight if you get dropped - and Shawn even admitted that.

The timing of the shot Spence threw that dropped Porter was picture perfect too. He caught him a fraction of a section after Porter dropped guard. I can't think of another occasion where I've seen that level of precision. That's the kind of shot that Kavaliauskas got in that rubbered Crawford.
