Stiverne I, Ortiz I, and Fury I were all top-5 rated heavyweights (Fury was top-3). In the rematches Stiverne was inactive so he wasn't rated, Ortiz was a hair outside the top-5 at 6, so he was top-10, and Fury's still top-3. So after he's done with Fury he'll have fought 3 top-3 rated heavyweights, 2 more top-5 heavyweights, and another top-10 heavyweight. All the while ignoring that Molina and Duhaupas touched the end of the top-10 after bouncing back from their losses to Wilder. Wilder has a really good resume.
Deontay Wilder vs Top Ten Officially Ranked Fighters

Deontey Wilder is a coward. He wants to say to all of us that knocking out "very old great counterpuncher who won almost noone" Ortiz and commenting previous Ruiz's win over Joshua while previously losing on points to slow clown Fury he's no.1.
Well, if noone serious is let to fight and knock out this windmill, if we want to see various trilogies between boring fighters, so be it.Comment

what has Ortiz done, with all due respect? Who has he beat? How old is he? Is he not old? Wlad, Povetkin, Ruiz, Parker, Whyte all have better resumes.Comment

I would love to see Ortiz vs Whyte but Whyte's been running away from this fight. First mandatory and now he's calling Otto Walin and Charr but not Ortiz. Ortiz vs Povetkin will also be good.
At least it will rest the debate whether Ortiz is a dangerous HW or an old man.Comment

I don't understand, quality wise, name staying power wise, Wilder's not even close to Joshua. So, why is it Joshua fans refuse to acknowledge Wilder's top ten wins outside of Ortiz? Why pretend like there's a full top ten worth a damn when we all know the top five are the only places with names anyone cares about and Joshua has done well to fight top fives, and, the men he's fought have remain top ten fighters longer.
What's the point in lying and stretching the truth when you already dominate that metric as is, just facts? Why belittle your argument with bull****?
I knew making a thread about Wilder's top rank fight would draw some Josh fans in to brag on Joshua. That's fine, have at it, but also, with such a one sided measuring tool explain why you'd bother trying to bury Wilder's defeat over a lackluster champion everyone saw as second to Wlad at best, his run at the bottom tens, or even the fact that Breazeale is certainly good enough to be considered legitimate given guys like Fujimoto share the same ranking board...rather than expose it.
You lot have done a better job covering up Wilder's caveats than Wilder ever could hope to. Seems to me there's no extra needed for a resume whore to make their choice, just post the truth.Comment

They aren’t rated. Fury was just coming back and didn’t fight anyone ranked in the world when he fought Wilder, and Ortiz was taken out of all the organisations rankings due to his PED.
So even though both boxers were highly regarded (Ortiz overhyped), they were not ranked (Maybe the WBC put them in the ranking once they knew Wilder was fighting them, to justify and fool certain fans).Comment
