    I don't consider Gennady Golovkin a star.

For me it goes like this:

Stars: Canelo, Mayweather Jr, Pacquio, Anthony Joshua

Really popular fighters: Gennady Golovkin, Errol Spence, Deontay Wilder, Danny Garcia, Vasily Lomachenko etc.

yet you guys will be on other threads talking about how wilder dont make no real money...makes 2-3 mil a fight...how all these other guys are only really getting their listed purses and no "side money" and all the pbc guys are poor and should jump at any offer...now youre telling us the pbc guys get overpaid...lol

Post a quote of me talking about how much Wilder makes or shut the f u c k up. You won't because I have never talked about how much he makes or that he doesn't make what he says he makes.

"Mall & Boo Boo" should be trying to eliminate one another in the Canelo and GGG sweepstakes. I would love to see Charlo and Andrade face those guys (Canelo and Golovkin), but unless or until that happens, they should face each other because the winner puts himself in an even stronger position.

I'll give you kudos for the Tyson reference. Well done.

A-sides aren't in the business of taking big risks. They have the leverage. If Charlo fights Andrade, it should be Andrade crossing the street. If Charlo fights Canelo, it should be Charlo crossing the street. That's how boxing works.

What if Tom Brown offered Canelo 50 million to fight Charlo on Fox PPV? It's way more than he's currently making on DAZN. Is the onus on Canelo to cross the street to fight Charlo just because Tom Brown made a big offer? No. That's not how boxing works.
Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Tommy Hearns 1 was before my time, however I imagine that Leonard and Hearns might have never fought each other if they were active and in their primes today. I can see it now:

"Sugar Ray is on DAZN, Hearns is on Fox, so the fight can't happen"

"Sugar Ray does bigger numbers, so Hearns should have to cross the street, even if Fox makes a 50 million dollar offer"

"Hearns only did 200K buys on his last PPV"

"Leonard can make millions fighting overmatched opponents so he doesn't need Hearns"

Fortunately, both Leonard and Hearns felt that the onus was on them to face the killer in his prime (Ages 25 and 22 respectively). They didn't waste years and years hiding behind spreadsheets and financial records to justify not fighting.

I say all that to say that A-sides may not be in the business of taking big risks but legends ARE!

Canelo is already set for life several times over so as a fan, I would be highly disappointed if he didn't at least CONSIDER a 50 million dollar offer to "cross the street" against a perceived threat.

PBC already has bigger challenges lined up without the difficulty of trying to negotiate multifight cross platform arrangements.

PBC has three middleweights rated higher than andrade. PBC doesnt recognize andrade's title. there's absolutely no reason to fight andrade. chris eubank is rated higher than both charlo and andrade in boxrec and charlo vs eubank is the fight PBC is building.

Those are the 4 very highest earning boxers of the last decade. That's some criteria you have to be on the list.

Those are fair points. I will add, however, that rankings are subjective and ESPN has Andrade rated higher than both Derevyanchenko and Eubank Jr.

I wasn't aware of PBC not recognizing WBO titles; that sounds crazy to me because I always felt like becoming a unified champion was a big deal. Oh well, to each his own...

Boxrec also has Oleksandr Usyk rated higher than Tyson Fury at heavyweight when Usyk has only beaten Chazz Witherspoon so far. Not to completely discredit ratings but sometimes we have to take them with a grain of salt. I usually check more than one list just to be more thorough.

The only thing that I can think of is that he's defining "star" and "superstar", as "popular fighter" and "star", going by that list of his.
