If you're trying to build your long term brand, you're much better off with the high visibility of Fox than you are fighting on DAZN in front of nobody.

When you fight on Fox, your Face to Face, Fight Camp and Countdown specials air on all the Fox affiliates with millions of people watching. Those specials also air dozens of times on FS1 and FS2, with hundreds of thousands of people watching.

When you fight on DAZN, nobody knows about it. Yes, you might make a million or two more, but at what cost?

Nowhere did I say "Charlo's last fight was on Fox."

So Charlo 160 has done phuck all or nothing with that visibility from fighting on Fox in front of 2.5m viewers from December 2018. Within 1 year his viewership declined by 91%.

I don't doubt that Showtimes numbers are 'higher' but they ain't 'much higher'. Charlo vs Hogan had 250k viewers. DAZN cards are probably averaging out at around 100-150k.

Here's what I don't understand.

The Showtime app, which is not counted by the TV ratings, has millions of subscribers. Way way more than DAZN's app.

Charlo vs Hogan peaked at 275k viewers on the actual Showtime television channel. But the fight also aired live on Showtime's app, which is subscribed to directly just like DAZN, and therefore, like DAZN, doesn't have published Nielsen ratings.

i think we all really know, deep down, that hearn isnt offering someone big money to come over to DAZN and take a belt off his guy without having an option on them for at least one more fight....i mean anyone who understands the business side of it just a little probably realizes that.....DAZN isnt going to overpay guys like tank and charlo to come over and let them beat their guy and just walk away......im sure he wants you to think that....but its just not realistic....

what hearn is hoping is to get guys like charlo and tank over there...match their next fight and get them thinking "wow this isnt bad over here i think i wanna stay".....

Makes sense. On the other hand, Jose Ramirez has taken Hooker's belt and gone back to TR/ESPN without any issues.

Bingo! You hit the hammer on the nail. Now you see why Al Haymon is so reluctant in allowing his fighters to fight over there because once they get them he may never get them back. DAZN would try to steal them all away from him in order to build their brand.

I don't think the Charlo-Andrade winner would be eliminated from Canelo or GGG. If anything the winner would establish himself as their biggest threat at 160
