I think the only way to beat Bud is by ***ing with his ego and making him fight a fight the wrong way.

Came in here to say the same thing , the same blueprint with a skillful fighter and Bud will be in trouble, iron sharpens iron Bud fighting to many tomato cans.He could be in trouble regardless if he fought a top tier fighter.

I don’t think pressuring him and trading punches with him is the best tactic to use against him. Crawford is more of a hook artist. He’ll throw a few jabs and straight lefts occasionally, but hook shots are his bread and butter. The best way to a beat a hook dominant boxer is to make him fall short with his hooks and catch him in between punches with short crisp straight punches.

Imo I'm not really a fan of his style and as good as he is I think hes pretty overrated.

Is he top 10 p4p? Yes, but I struggle to put him at the top because of his relative less than stellar resume and in the fights I have seen him, most of which took place at 147, he hasnt looked that great.

I personally thought klakdjjrnkeksd (however you spell his name) did a fine job of mixing it up with crawford. Klauseijejsus imo looked like a younger little GGG in there and gave Crawford problems.

I dont think it went like Crawford said. Even if he was trying to please the crowd he didnt throw any spectacular punches that landed while getting hit flush a ton of times including that knockdown that wasnt counted. Klauskkekdle only started to fade because if I recall he got hit with a hook to the temple and he started to gas out.

I think this is it for Crawfords limit. He already dismissed any plans of moving to 154 and rightfully so.
While hes a pretty big guy and could fight higher his style doesnt allow him to. It's a lot different fightin guys who are a few inches shorter than you and you have a SIGNIFICANT reach and weight advantage.

This fight here has really made me question how good he actually is.

Oh yeah. You beat crawford by disrupting his pace. You take someone like Lomachenko and sit him in front of Crawford I bet he has a really bad time. After getting hit and not hitting anything money is that Crawford gets reckless. He eats shots from weak opponents better ones would capitalize on.

Or someone like GGG who has a chin and is relentless to the point where you cant breathe.

Crawford likes to be the bully. You beat the bully by being a bully.

These questions are really hard to answer for a multitude of reasons. First, the flaws we have seen in Bud have been against low level competition so there might be flaws and cracks in his game yet to be seen until we see him step up (think GGG). Second, the best attempt we can do is just write up vague and general strategies (ie great right hand) or create a guy who has incredible attributes (Sugar Ray Leonard) and imagine him beating Crawford in various reason. There are also certain intangibles that cannot be easily measured that could defeat Crawford as well such as the example I'm going to use in Gonzalez VS Sor Rungvisai.

However, to indulge a bit I do think several guys at the top of WW have a very favorable chance to beat him. Crawford to me isn't spectacular and has yet to fight top shelf opposition so I don't view him close to invincible. Crawford reminds me of Roman Gonzalez, a guy many had propped up as a default P4P #1 fighter and were awed by his appeared skill set because he hadn't been tested (Roman was pushed to the limited against a green El Gallito, a caliber of opponent Crawford hasn't even faced). Gonzalez then ran into a style nobody would have favored was beat and then subsequently destroyed by same awkward opponent.

I might be in the minority here but I heavily favor Spence to beat him and think Porter is a toss up.

I think in order to beat him, you’d have to be able to match his fighting pace, excellent at dictating range and distance, being defensively responsible and with good timing and counter-punching skills. In other words, a master sharp-shooter would give him fits. I don’t think Spence is good enough to beat him.
It sounds a bit to me like you are describing Vergil Ortiz Jr. He may still need some experience against a top 10 WW, but I think he might be the man for the job.
Bad Left Hook has a decent article out on him. He appears to be patient and thinks in the ring. He's a sharpshooter with power in both hands. Has a habit of stopping guys who have never been stopped.
                Just sayin.

That would be an interesting fight. I’d still pick Crawford to beat him though.

I think it would be best to drag him into a war. Cuz nobody is gonna outbox him.

Thurman not beating TS.... He not consistent enough.

Spence and Porter have better chances.
Drag him into a war, stop him from boxing and using his superior boxing skills.

Problem is.... Dude mite still beat u. He the type of guy to want to beat you at your own game and has the attributes to do it!

I agree. Possibly even PAC too.
Thurman most definitely can give him a run for his money. Let’s make that fight.
