If AJ can outboxed Ruiz. I think Ortiz can too.
Only way Ortiz loses is if he gasses after the 7th like he usually does.
AJ beat Ruiz by using his height, reach and, especially, his feet. Ortiz has height and reach over Andy, but not as much as AJ, and he definitely couldn't get up on his toes and keep moving for 12 rounds to outbox Andy the way AJ did.

I favor Ortiz only because he's a southpaw to be honest. I don't think straight lefts would be too hard for him to land, but I wouldn't be shocked if Ruiz caught him mid range as he came in for one.
I don't think Ortiz would have much trouble hitting Ruiz, but Andy's chin is so good that it made a lot of people forget how hard AJ hits with those long right hands and left hooks. I don't see Ortiz denting Andy's chin or discouraging him from rolling forwards. (No pun intended, lol)

Andy's punch resistance and greater stamina would win the day, imo.

What makes you think Ortiz has some huge power? he couldn`t even stop Hammer.

            That's a fine outlook.

Hammer was in pure survival mode, & Hammer ate Pedvetkins punches just fine.

He stopped Jennings, Thompson, Allen way faster than his peers

"I'd go: Wilder, Ortiz, Joshua and then Povetkin." -- Lenroy Thomas, who has fought or sparred all four men, ranking their punching power.

Chisora stopped Szpilka faster than Wilder did. Does Chisora also have a huge power?

Chisora is the 4th person to stop Szpilka and each did it faster than the last. His chin is just plain gone

Bryant Jennings stopped him in the tenth in 2014
Then Wilder stopped him in the ninth in 2015
then Kownacki stopped him in the 4th in 2017
then Chisora stopped him in the 2nd in 2018

Had to read it twice but figured you meant Ortiz had height over Andy.

Would Ortiz have to Move as much as AJ did in the 2nd Ruiz fight ?
                      I doubt it.

Aside from Wilder nobody has been able to put Ortiz away. Which is a testament to his Chin. I'm sure Andy hits hard enough to gain Ortiz's respect. But IMO not enough to discourage Ortiz from putting his offense together.

                      Interesting fight though .
