Close fights and the predictions made

Usually the boards gets it right. And this is close as close can be...So Annie is correct, statistically its really tight with no one pulled ahead to win. That is interesting because if I had to bet the farm, so to speak, my last instinct would be to check the consensus here...there is a great record of predicting the right outcome in matches...This is one of a few times one could not do that for this fight...CLOSE INDEED!

      Okay, here's my real prediction.

Andy at this heavier weight will start to lose steam after 8 rounds. For this reason, he needs to start quickly, cut off the ring, and do as much damage as possible in the first 6 rounds. If he fails to get any knockdowns in the first 6, he runs a big risk of losing the fight on points. Goal should be to set up sharp counters and finish AJ in the first half of the fight.

AJ must pace himself, box, and avoid exchanges unless he sees Andy is hurt or slowing down. Goal should be to win rounds while frustrating Andy with his movement, making it hard for the heavier man to counter him. Reserve his energy for rounds 8 - 12. Pour it on Andy in these rounds to impress the judges, but don't go for the kill unless he's hurt.

Ruiz by TKO in 6 rounds

      or

      AJ by Unanimous Decision

Or by some miracle right hand that changes the fight.

The thing is, I saw him land some a couple miracle shots on ruiz the first fight.

And you know what? Ruiz ate those shots like a snickers and came back harder lol, he was never hurt.

oh man if I was joshua I would be scared.
Ain't no miracles or punches from the gods, AJ looks like he did his homework unlike Ruiz looks a little comfy with life,

if I was AJs corner I wouldn't bet on 12rds, Id look for my speed n reach chin check Ruiz from distance, slow him down even more with bodywork, but it looks like there going the Joseph Parker route which idk

like I said Ruiz needs to take AJ spirits right away for a stoppage win, but Idk about a late stoppage unless AJ is gassed late, he did good late in the fight with the big Klit

I'm going further. I have just placed my money on AJ inside four.

Thought about the bet all week, and meant to go with Ruiz by knockout again. But after the weigh-in I changed my mind. I think George Foreman said the right things, in that Ruiz will definitely move less quickly this time.

Also, I re-watched the first fight and realized that it was not as one-sided as I remembered. Joshua had his moments.

Summary: Joshua pulls a Lewis vs Rahman II and knocks Ruiz out hard. At least, I hope so in order to get some cash...

Also placed a few ones on draws in both Eubank vs Korobov and Hunter vs Povetkin.

If Joshua chooses to exchange with ruiz it's over. He gets destroyed in the mid range, and with his lighter weight he won't be able to keep ruiz from simply overpowering him.
            You did, good to see.

There were times in the first fight I noticed Joshua jabbing and countering Ruiz. If you look at the first 2.3 rounds it's a decent showing for Joshua against an experienced boxer. Though after THAT punch he never recovers.

tbh I shouldn't have been tentative in my pick, really. Joshua wasn't doing so bad the first time before he stood in front of Ruiz.

Ruiz's problem is that he has very fast hands for a heavyweight, but his feet are like Carl Froch in a bear trap wading through treacle.

Wonder if you still think the same?

Because if you do you don't know **** about boxing tbh.

                      In a word....Anticlimactic

So little attention was given to Andy's jell-o body.

Oh well, we won't have to worry about them ''fast hands'' for a while.
