But he’s not the commodity on his own, which is my point. The hardcore fan knows this was a sham rematch, but it had all the right ingredients to promote well

If he beats Fury legitimately that might change. But boxing fans aren’t willing to pay PPV for fighters that don’t deserve it anymore

The only fighters that succeed on PPV are the ones that actually take risks and prove the hype in the ring - look at Canelo. I’m not the biggest fan, but he has faced the who’s who of his divisions so far, consistently.

Fighters like Wilder, and Spence are fighters who are struggling with fighters who they should be beating clearly to warrant the promotional hype. I’m really confused why people think it’s the PPV environments fault, and not the fighters fault

PPV isn’t dead at all, it’s just the standards are finally being raised and promoters need to catch up

Not bad lol. Have you ever taken a economics class dummy. Considering the large amount of guaranteed money that Wilder is getting. Plus all the promotion, sanctioning and site fees. This fight probably lost money.

I dont care how bad or good Wilders numbers are. The only reason we really look at them is because Wilder, his team and his fans were trying to push the narrative that Wilder is running level with the likes of Anthony Joshua which would prove and justify Wilders massive demands to face Joshua and his reasons for turning down a Joshua fight over and over again.

Also we like to remind these Wilder fans that they have heavily criticized other fighters for doing much better numbers and claiming those fights bombed and were an embarrassment but are now trying to justify even lower numbers for Wilder and hoping people forget all the mud slinging they done about other fighters.

Its not us, the so called "Haters" that seem to care so much and are pocket watching. We are just looking forward for confirmation to all this "WILDER IS THE FACE OF BOXING" "WILDER IS BOXINGS A SIDE" stuff that the numbers NEVER seem to back up at all.

I've been saying this for however many years/months this argument has been happening. If a prime Roy Jones Jr. can offer a beltless Bernard Hopkins 60/40 to fight, Joshua can offer Wilder 60/40 to unifiy the entire division.

How many cheap tickets AJ can sell in the UK is irrelevant. That was their entire argument for not fighting Wilder in the US, everyone knows US fights make more money. The PPV prices are higher, the ticket prices are higher.
