I disagree with all saying the promotions and extra fees made this take a loss. This is purely the gate, which at least broke even in the initial costs of the fight. I am willing to wager the event actually showed a nice profit by the time comps and all the extra money was spent in Las Vegas. Next there are the concessions, parking revenue, and advertisement tie ins that bring money into the event to offset the promotional and other costs. There is a reason why Vegas is such a great spot to do a fight like this- they know how to squeeze out money from a freaking stone. Wilder is obviously not the total "A" side yet otherwise the seats would have been full. He has room to grow. But he is doing fine. He and Ortiz earned some nice coin off this and I am sure everyone who invested in this did as well. How much profit? I have zero idea. But if we see Wilder in other PPV events - not including Fury or a unification match which would sell themselves- that will show more than anything how well this did. His team will only do more PPV events if there is money in it.
And there was a Hockey game that night at T mobile arena

    18,19 thousand fans..
You cant go to both events at same time

You are astute there are so many revenue sources for any pbc boxer because they are promoters

The site fee for this fight was probably 4,5 million but sute fees are rarely announced

Recent exception what the Arabs are paying Hearn for Ruiz fight 40 million...thats more or equal than what sky box office will bring in

BILL CAYTON heirs are still getting paid for film rights of his huge fight library...

Keep those film rights pbc boys

Ever heard of forward contracts and options. Had he signed he wouldn’t be fighting for $4m, it’s just like the Canelo situation.

Also we like to remind these Wilder fans that they have heavily criticized other fighters for doing much better numbers and claiming those fights bombed and were an embarrassment but are now trying to justify even lower numbers for Wilder and hoping people forget all the mud slinging they done about other fighters.

Its not us, the so called "Haters" that seem to care so much and are pocket watching. We are just looking forward for confirmation to all this "WILDER IS THE FACE OF BOXING" "WILDER IS BOXINGS A SIDE" stuff that the numbers NEVER seem to back up at all.

Here is what you are missing

Wilder and puzzy Fruit separately are not the same as They are together

Mayweather and Pacquiao are the same

Recently it seems that Wilder and Fury are the same

The above make more money when paired together

The world was shocked when Mayweather made 250 million and Pacquiao 170 million

They have never come close to that before in a real boxing match

If Puzzyfruit can win his next 3 fights..

The 40 million that was offered Wilder is peanuts...

Thats a 100 million dollar night for both

Will Eddie give team Wilder part of sky ppv$$

        Big sticking point
        Delayed rights?

What is split for gate, advertising, site fee, merchandising, vendors

These are sticking points in Wilder vs Puzzyfruit

Eddie may have told team Wilder..take the 40 million flat fee twice

        I get all the rest!!!!

Now do you Brits understand....dont get blind sided by the 40 million times 2 for 2 Puzzyfruit fights

There is a lot more on the table

The dollar amount on the offer was predicated on fighting Joshua twice. There are no details published that would indicate that there was a forward option in the contract that would allow Wilder to not fight Joshua and still make up the 80 million dollars in the offer specifically for fighting Joshua.

Further, it is well-documented that PBC fighters make more than the purses registered with the athletic commissions.

LOL so where was any counter offers? No good turning down offers cuz doing it through PBC makes more money if you then dont even bother to make any counter offers. They just walked away.

            It is a duck.

Did you see the article on here where Trapper says that he botched the negotiations? Does it even matter now that Joshua has lost to Ruiz and is now saying he won't fight Wilder even if he wins?

A forward contract locks the price. For starters that contract included Breazale and the rest on Joshua including a rematch. In your opinion is the Joshua fight worth more now or less?

Dazn still losing money lmao. PPV dead doe. Morons.

Great results, Wilder is a big name. Far better than the Gypsy Fake could ever achieve because his style is SO FKING BORING to watch! People would rather watch paint dry than see Fury go blood and thunder with a Euro bum because he can't knock him out lol

It's worth the same or more to DAZN.

Either way, by not signing the contract Wilder is free to fight Fury if Joshua wins and balks at fighting him as he said he would just weeks ago.

rafael says it did 225 which means a take home of 12 million for pbc/haymon. a huge failure.
