Has anybody else lost respect for Hatton?

I used to have tons of respect for Ricky Hatton, but what he has done with the Collazo situation is ridiculous.

He won't give Collazo a rematch because he already beat him, well tons of people thought that Collazo had won and the fight was WAY too controversial.

Hatton needs to man up and fight Collazo again, if he doesn't do this, then there will always be a big dark hole in his career.

    Who else agrees with me?
I made a thread about this in BB a few months ago and everyone obviously disagreed... LOL....

    Well, what about you guys?

    Oh, give me a break.

He's only at 147 because Mayweather and Gatti moved up. He moved to 147 for the money fights, he's already beaten Tszyu to become undisputed 140lb king and only has a handful of fights left in him - he wouldn't want to waste one against this Collazo guy.

Hatton needs to go back to 140, unless he plans on making big money in the welters by taking beatings. The man is too small at 5'5.

if were gonna jump on Floyd for duckig Margarito( which i have, a million times) then Ricky deserves the same critizism...he and his promoter stated he would rematch Callozo and they are not keeping thier word....when Floyd had a controversial when against Castillo he rematched him immediatly..big props to Floyd for that( even though he is still ducking Marg)

            i have spoken..end of thread

He will now that Gatti has lost, I think.

I think he should just bash up Corrales and Castillo at 140, then go for the big one against Mayweather (at 140). I'm sure HBO could lure Castillo and Corrales into Hatton fights in the next 12 months, that should set up the Mayweather fight nicely. Then Ricky can put his feet up and retire a legend, after giving Mayweather the fight of his life.

Why should I lose respect for Hatton?

He is one of the few good men left in boxing and is entertaining to watch.

Him not rematching Collazo isnt the end of the world nor is it the end of the road for anybody....If its that big of a deal, Collazo should stop his bitching and get back on his horse and fight his way back into the title picture.

Sure its crappy but thats boxing and along with the sport comes politics...

As long as Hatton vacates his title and forgets about Oktay as an opponent I will be happy...

If Hatton keeps fighting at 147, he should give Collazo a rematch. The WBA should keep Collazo as his mandatory.

If Hatton hasn't decided what weight class he's going to fight at, and hasn't scheduled an opponent yet, HE HASN'T DUCKED ANYONE YET.

Collazo's people should have a back-up plan, though...
