If Hatton really said that he'd give Luiz a rematch and now is not honoring his word, then I definitely have lost respect for the guy.

Without the KD, it would have been a majority draw and Collazo would have retained.

Yes but if Hatton moves to 140 that will be a moot point.

Collazo has done nothing but *****, why not get back on his rocker and prove why he deserves a rematch. He reminds me of Vivian Harris before he was sent to the deck against Maussa.

Collazo should strike while the iron is hot and fight another top tier name...

Yes but their was a knockdown and that is just an excuse...Thats like saying if Castillo came in at weight Corrales would have won and if the referee would have counted at a right pace Buster Douglas would have been kayoed by Mike Tyson.....

The knockdown was legit though and the fight was close. When you have 2 top guys fighting of course you are going to see a fairly close fight...

Hatton doesn't need to give Collazo a rematch. If it is the best pay day for him, I'm sure he'd take it. Hatton would be better in his next fight if he stays at 147 cause of the experience, which should mean he defeats Collazo again.

However, if there is a better pay day at 147 or he wants to go back to 140 there is no need for him to offer a rematch.

Your right, I think that Collazo should stop crying over Hatton and climb back into the right against a mid-level opponent. Hatton's obviously not interested in a rematch and waiting around for him isn't going to help his career.

Maybe sometime down the line, Hatton and Collazo will meet up again.

That is a nice point but if Tyson had not gone to jail don't you think there would be a rematch if Douglas was still holding the title? I know that Castillo and Corrales did schedule a rematch after the first weight scandal. The point is that highly competitive matches like this deserve a rematch. Hatton should grant Collazo one after all Collazo had no obligation to face Hatton. His mandatory was against Urkal but he gave Hatton the shot. Don't you think that Hatton should do him the same courtesy?

ofcourse he should..and now Urkal has became Hattons mandatory because he picked up the trinket from Callozo. thats a slap in the face to Callozo. he already stated he would rematch and should do so.

Now if he feels he is more comfortable and 140 thats a different story but aslong as he remains at welter he owes Callozo the rematch IMO.

Sure acknowledging that he was not as good at 147 and moving to 140 would be fine. But then Collazo would probably get a shot at the vacant title so no harm no foul. But if he takes Urkal... man is that a slap to Collazo. Collazo had every right to ignore Hatton and fight his mandatory, and now he is being punished for taking the better fight. As a boxing fan now I know why big fights are so impossible to make.
