This exactly. It worked for Wlad because he had a straight hard jab. AJ's has this pawing nothing thing. And even if he trained it, guarantee it will become pawing after 4 or 5 rounds tops. Ruiz was lunging in at an acute angle to throw at AJ as fight wore on not only because he saw AJ had no idea how to deal with his fast combos, but also because AJ's pawfest jab was of no concern.Last edited by Tman500; 12-02-2019, 12:32 AM.Comment

Wlad showed Vitali how to beat Sanders and he crushed him. Sanders was never the same, he said every time Vitali hit him he thought he would pee his pants.

Hopefully, Wladimir taught him the grab and jab strategy; Which was very effective for him during his championship run and especially against smaller/shorter fighters.Comment

He stopped him but he didn't crush him. Let's not forget Sanders was nothing more than a solid journeyman southpaw who had a big punch & nothing else. He was a 4 round fighter & only moonlighted as a boxer. He was not in very good shape in his fight with Vitali. Sanders ONLY claim to fame was crushing Wladimir & his slugfest against Rahman that he lost. Sanders was no contender & he didn't even bother to show up in shape for his vacant WBC title shot against Vitali. Took the payday & went back to running him big game farm in SA. I don't know what Wlad showed him. He got dropped 4 times in 2 rounds. Let's keep it real... Sanders was the 90s version of Joey Abell. A journeyman southpaw with a big punch...I have a lot of Sanders fights so I am very familiar with his career. I didn't just look at boxingrec...Comment

I'm sure Klitschko advised him on the jab & grab style along with suggesting Luis Pabon as the ref to Hearn as he was the official who allowed Wlad to continually hold Povetkin who is a shorter HW with good skills...Comment
